I've just watched and listened to DS' pre Rotherham press conference, and he had a lot of interesting things to say. However, whilst we, the 'audience' could hear Dean loud and clear, the questions from the journos were indecipherable. You had to guess what the question was by Dean's reply! Is it not beyond the wit of those organising these sessions to ensure we all hear everything?

It's been like that for ages. I cannot see why it seems beyond the PR team to organise a microfone for the questioners ?...…………..( Championship team on the field, non league off it) ?

Technical issues aside, the thing that struck me is how confident and relaxed Dean seems... a really assured performance. Hope the players follow suit for the next 46 league games.

Just as a matter of interest - why is it strange?

Perhaps my several decades years of interviewing people for a living is now old-fashioned and you have a more up-to-date way of doing it professionally. Do tell.
because "You had to guess what the question was by Dean's reply!" - it's right there in the first post, Larry.

In the shed.
Surely the answers are all you need. They're the important part of any interview.
Pineapple is the answer. The question could be.."What's your favourite fruit" or " What's the biggest thing you've had up your @rse"

If the question is that obscure, surely it's the interviewee who should make his answer clear.
Right, so now it's Deans fault?

I'm sure some find your contrariness endearing, so there's always that

This thread has now become exceedingly boring.

So I'll admit I shouldn't have said what I did - and retreat bowing to your greater combined experiences (and therefore better knowledge) of interviewing and interviewing techniques.

Not going your way so it’s become boring. Shame that, Larry.

I would have thought with your knowledge of PR at a top level you'd know something on this subject - and that you would (as normal) have put in your two-pennuth.

Now let's just get on with real life.

If today's pre-match conference is anything to go by, it looks like the club have sorted out the issue raised by hatfieldbee, which is appreciated. :sorted:
