Pretty much done them all over the years. Only a regular in the Bee Hive, Bricklayers and New Inn though.................... However, with young kids in tow, it's McShit for me these days on Saturday.

Brickies always then nothing till the boys got older and it's either Griffin or the Princess Royal after the game. Luckily my lot prefer the Albany kebab to a McD so never have to set foot in there!

Pottery Arms
Pottery Arms
Pottery Arms
All after starting at the Castle in South Ealing.
Now The Globe - although sometimes The Plough in Northfields.
Tried all 4 around the ground but found them too busy. Used the Pottery so much because always parked in Green Dragon Lane. Now park in Windmill road hence The Globe. Oh and those Globettes too of course.

Sadly O'Briens went all nobby in the summer, put up its prices, made seating awkward and before the Ipswich game at least was no longer showing lunchtime footie on tv.

The thing about driving is you never get to experience any of the pubs. I did once stop for a pint in the bees inn I think it is called behind morrisons.

There does seem to be a lot of them.

Yes where is The Inverness? I'd never heard of it till it cropped up on here last week.

When living in Acton Green..

The George on Chiswick High Road, then bus to the Star & Garter, Express. Plough & Wagon & Horses then a final one in the Red Lion.

When living in Ealing..

The Bell, North Star, Royal Oak, Three Pigeons, Queen Vic etc on the way down

When first moved to Wiltshire..

The Beehive, the Albany and maybe the Griffin.

Now I've got old and don't enjoy packed pubs the Cross Lances in Hounslow

Wouldn't bother. It's all ex coppers or masons in there. Weird handshakes and tweaking of nipples and all that. Shocking scenes. :nono:

Just for the record, The Albany (AKA The Zoo)
was an empty big boozer waiting for a takeover.
It is official, Voice and I & Co. felt uncomfortable with the constant surveillance from plod,
decided to move, The Albany became our new drinking hole, in peace, until the the then yoof
followed us.

Happened again at the new England
and again where we are now.

The old White Horse is where I'm heading (Weir) nobody is invited !!

Did a stint in all 4 round the ground (gradually get bored of them)
Windmill (never got the hang of the bar billiards)
New England (just before it became a haunted house) Ealing park tavern (they hate football fans), Royal Horseguardsman (not for the claustrophibic)
Now I alternate between The Globe & Nelson.
I keep telling myself that I'll try The Beehive and Magpie & crown, but I park up by The Globe/Nelson so why waste drinking time?

Yes, once which was enough. Can't stand the poncey, overpriced, sh*t service , slow service diner orientated place. No thanks. Express far better if you are down that end.

Not your problem, mate. You're off drinking with the Tarquins and Ruperts at The Weir.

ah hah, it is my problem.
10 quid membership, to keep an old historic building and club alive.
They are desperate for people to join, but everyone thinks they can bowl up for cheap beer without paying.
Totally out of order in my eyes me ole mate !!

I agree.
Never been in there, myself.

Will look to join, when I have the funds. Went beerless for Reading. :(

So, does this mean you're not joining Tarquin and Rupert, at The Weir?

You can join me whenever you like mate in the Inverness, a guest is a quid.
I have a good Tarquin and Rupert story for you, two blokes that would probably knock two shades of
sh!t out of anyone down at Brentford, and I'm not joking.

Very kind of you.

I am job-hunting at the mo'. It's a right laugh. :grey:

I only went in The White Horse once, after we beat Huddersfield in the play-offs. I was wearing Steve Hunt's shorts. :hat:
I have only been in The Weir, once. I do not wish to go there, again.
