Load of b***ocks if true. Very cynical approach I'm afraid. In this day and age with tap and pay, it's piss easy to compete a very quick transaction so this approach is unnecessary. I hate this kind of marketing sh*t.

At the Oval T20 you have to pay an extra pound for your first pint.
You then get it back at end of day by queueing up to take back your pint cup.

Or you can just bring it along the next game you go to

Thinking about it a bit id think not taking cash would reduce sales quite a bit? I might not intend on having a pint but then at half time think "oh go on then" but with only taking pre paid cards you remove the impulse buyers.

I actually agree with this from a waste perspective, thousands of plastic cups in landfill when instead you can reuse a decent one.

They do it at Twickenham, if you pick up all the glasses at end of the match you can walk out with a nice pile of cash. Most I've got is £48.

Went to a Bayern Munich open training session at the Allianz arena the other week,no problems with the pre-pay card there,you could get them from sellers walking about took no time at all and you can also use them in the club shop,also went to Cercle Bruges last November and they operate the same thing,we had 1 Euro left on the card and Sultan managed to get a sausage for it,no roll that was extra !!!
