FT 5-0. Best performance we've had in months. Very impressive. All top 6 teams won as well so this is a massive result. Top 2 might be unlikely but we're still in with a shout if we play like this every game!

1 behind Watford on GD now, all to play for!

If we catch Watford up on points, the goal difference should take care of itself.

If we do manage to haul them in and it comes down to GD, we are almost certain to have the better one now.

Indeed, and if we were to catch them on points it would mean +3 for us (and likely -2 for them).

Great result and hopefully will help the team believe.

An excellant 90 minute performance, and it could have been even more.

Huge performance! Positives all over the pitch and lots of confidence to be taken from that. Big shout out for Tarique! Humble pie consumed on his thread but happy to eat more here! :)

Thats what happens when Brentford attack and play at pace. Great to see Forss score and by coupling up with Toney, gices the opposing defence all sorts of problems. Fosu brilliant as well and Mbeumo looked a different player. Great stuff, lets hope its a model for the rest of the season.

Got to get to 30. He'll be in a very prestigiuos list of Bees players to score 30 League goals. Just 5 to date!!

1929/30 Bill Lane 33 (Tier 3)
1932/33 Jack Holliday 38 (Tier 3)
1936/37 Dave McCulloch 31 (Tier 1)
1958/59 Jim Towers 32 (Tier 3)
1977/78 Steve Phillips 32 (Tier 4)

2020/21 Ivan Toney ? [29 to date] (Tier 2)
I thought Stevie Phillips scored 36 that year?

Really well done Bees. Everyone needed that, the fans, coaches and more importantlythe players. Automatics may have gone, but it's nice to see a return to form at this important time of the season.

Smashed the goal difference too. Perform like that for the rest of the season and Norwich beat Watford and....

Almost the perfect display.

Back three enabled Norgaard to build quickly from the back to stop us going in circles, the wing backs had space to get forward and cause havoc. Fosu in the middle got the early service and was the best player on the pitch, forss pushed up top as the target and Toney dropped off to pick up the pieces and we retained the ball brilliantly.

Janelt back in his best position and back on top form. Jenson excellent just in front of him taking the ball and supply it to the forwards and wide men.

When sergi came in you felt we were adding strength not getting weaker and he turned them inside out.

A lot of people will be saying I told you so tonight regarding two up top, 3 at the back, starting Fosu etc etc and they all deserve to say it.

TF hopefully has shut a few people up as we are on another unbeaten run and even though we had to change it up it’s not like we were losing games.

I reckon that is the PO’s assured now and just Watford left to catch.

If it's the usual 4-3-3 it would be very odd, since we'll be playing at least 2 players out of position.

If it's 3-5-2 it could work, and may turn out to be formula that turns the season back in our favour! I am optimistic by nature...
I really hope I'm right!!

Have to keep Fosu on the pitch now with Canos's fresh legs in the 2nd. Great to see Norgaard and Janelt playing together, but not on top of each other. All about confidence and the players were loving it. Thank you TF.

There will be a Fact Check like ⬇⬇⬇ later:

Make sure it includes:

1) When Fosu starts games we win, despite what his goals scored and assist stats might say. Possible MoM today.
2) Turns out it IS possible to change formation and tactics in a short period of time successfully, despite it being presented as fact by many previously that this can't/won't be done.

Only 1 goal difference between Watford and us now (I'm ignoring the 9 points).
Unfortunately we have left it too late for top 2 but if we can go into the playoffs in this kind of mood we are favourites. Nobody would have lived with us today not even Norwich it was that good

Superb. Fosu outstanding. Mbuemo outstanding. Pinnock outstanding. I could go on. Excellent controlled attacking football with good decision making all over the park. So pleased for Forss who took his chance well. Roerslev getting better with every game.
