I'd be pissed off too.
Every game he gets pushed, pulled hacked and the free kicks goes against him.
True but refs tend to give defenders the benefit of the doubt over him. Today’s ref wasn’t the first and I doubt he’ll be the last

Disappointing- but this was one of those games where we didnt ever look really dominant even though we had good qulaity moments.

Passws from reid and jensen for example and reid looked decent at times so thats postive

Brentford where poor second half and little bit of pressure by qpr and its 2.1.

Wonder what Frank will say about this regarding bouncing back etc.

But we have huge quality and this Blip will be over on saturday back to wining ways.

Heads up boys its a great season keep going boys.

Excellent first half performance and response from Sunday follwoed by woeful second half. The old cliche, "its a game of two halves" could also be used for us, as too often we a team of one half. Lack of depth in the squad is starting to rear its ugly head again, as both goals were p*ss poor defending. Ried worked hard but looked shot on 70 minutes, Rico also. Tired bodies and minds on show tonight. We badly need Jansen and CN back as we've got no chance of stayng in top 2 defending as we did this evening.

Oh so frustrating. Played well first half and just shot ourselves in the foot again. Let alone not challenging for the ball on the halfway line but why is Rico Henry heading that back towards the penalty area. f***ing panic attack we are fragile at the back. We then took not clearing our lines prroperly to literally just clearing our lines at every given opportunity when some composure was needed. They need to regroup and focus on the next game but this one hurts a lot right now

Absolutely awful. Will take something special to turn this round now! Can see us losing to Stoke Saturday I'm afraid.
Two defeats in 23 is obviously good but let's be honest we've looked very suspect in a lot of recent games before coming back and winning.
Too many people said the league was ours after Reading.
Brentford innit!!
That would be disappointing......as we're playing Coventry.....

I think they need to have a team meeting here, we have lost to a team who are much worse than us, and threw it away from playing carelessly. Hopefully we can go on a run and put this behind us, but this was a very avoidable loss.
Mmmm... they've won five out of six. They're a decent side, in form. We've lost two in two! BUT, we were miles ahead after 30-35 minutes, but then, hate to say it, out-thought. They applied the Barnsley learning much later into the game than I expected... higher press, condense the play, in-swinging set-pieces, make it aerial and scrappy... and we just joined in with the hoof-ball, rather than getting it down and trusting our quality.

Very disappointing. Noticeable how many posters have reappeared after Sunday, and today, that were nowhere to be seen when we had our unbeaten run.

Still 2nd but Swansea beat Forest (note, 1 r!) so gap only 1 point, with them having 2 games in hand. Coventry very important to stop the rot, but I refuse to say "must win"!

It’s frustrating but every team that gets promoted out of this league, to varying degrees, will have bad runs. Maybe we’ll lose/draw the next couple but we’ll still be in there. Let’s get it out the way now rather than in April/May.

We look to be missing drive and leadership on the pitch . Sorry to say this but Toney seem more intent on roughing up,the defenders

But I’m a believer in Top 6 at Easter push on from there but changes are needed

Feck me QPR are poor.. Gave it away.
No composure at all second half. Another 2 poor goals conceded.
Really cant see top 2 unless we improve pretty damn quick.
JDS needs to contribute more imo.

I don't know what it is about Mbueno for the last year, but he seems to have a cloud hanging over him. Nothing seems to work on his side of the pitch lately. Should have got an extra winger in if we were going to go for it, as he's a squad memebr at best. JDS tired again and would prefer to see Pinnock on his favoured left side with Reid. Its looking a little predictable at the moment.

Oh my god, this so the most ridiculous post I have read in many a year,

Old Codgers? They are a bunch of fekkin kids.

lucky to finish top six with 2 defeats in 24 games.

Jenson not a good player, you probably prefer Eddie Hutchinson,

I agree. It isn't the reason we lost but when was the last time Toney won a free kick? It cant be him fouling every time

remember the mighty wobble leeds had last season and they went on to romp the league, not saying we are going to do that because clearly there are some issues but we will sort it out im sure and be up there

The players looked mentally and physically exhausted. I don’t know how else much there is to say.

We should’ve strengthened in January but thought we could get through, presumably on a wing and a prayer
And that seems to be the crux of it atm. We have injured players "coming back" but atm we have very little on the bench that can change a game.

Forss is thrown on last minute and looks quite lost atm
Bryan, well less said the better
Ghoddos dont really know what to think
Mads young and not going to change a game from RB.

That’s four f**king terrible goals given in last 2 games! We were utter sh*te 2nd half. Somehow they need to life themselves as we are on the slide it’s looking right now.

I think it was a poorly constructed rant and the old codgers bit referred to QPR.
Either that or the bloke’s on ketamine.

We might be second, but Swansea have 2 games in hand on us and they don't look like losing at the moment ( and that hurts to say that) whilst those below us are making ground on us at this rate we'll be lucky to be in the top 6

I don't think it's a catastrophe, but we do need to nip this in the bud. If we win the next two then it won't be too bad overall but this was certainly avoidable.

The idea that this 'is over' with 16 games left is silly, it clearly isn't. But we can't afford to keep doing that. I do think we got casual once we realised how good they weren't, we were very casual from around the 20 minute mark.

We certainly don’t look like a team that’s challenging for auto’s in the past two games. I’m not sure I can survive another playoffs though. COYB

Yeah right mate. Lucky if the team in 7th don’t make up 14 points and 15 goals on us . Embarrassing comment.

Hopefully we can put it right soon. Tough loss to swallow although QPR are playing well having also beaten Watford recently.

The gutting thing is that at the 70 minute mark we looked very comfortable, and Rangers hadn't had a shot on target. We just imploded. Sadly the signs were there earlier in the game - our defending was pretty shaky throughout, we just got away with it. As soon as that first goal went in our heads went down... Thomas Frank has a big job on his hands getting the players heads together. It's very hard not to feel a sense of deja vu when you look back to last season. The positive is that we have time to turn it around, and Swansea's luck must run out at some point.

this shower are not doing my lockdown fatigue any good.
I know, all I have to look forward to is a long day of video calls tomorrow, make sure I am around at 1 when Tesco arrive and then maybe walk round the same block for the 40th time since Xmas. Then on monday the deep joy of Boris telling us we are not releasing any restrictions yet because he wants his legacy to be the vaccines success and not the cock ups of the last year so we are all staying within our 4 walls until every one is vaccinated.

Every slither or light being snuffed out or moved further away,

As all my friends say so often, Brentford doing a Brentford.

We really need a boost and have Norgaard back with Marcondes. Mbeumo offers nothing right now and Dasilva has been off the boil last couple.. we haven’t got as good a squad as Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth and I feel that could tell in the end?

I think lockdown/Covid must be to blame for some people’s reactions here! We are second. With a third of the season to go. This season was never gonna be a walk in the park and nor were we going to go 35 games unbeaten.
We’ve lost 2 in 24. If they came in games 8 & 16 then nobody would mind.
I bet the players are glad some of us aren’t at the games at the moment - the less reasonable would probably have booed them off tonight/Saturday.
We can still do this ffs. Believe.

I wonder if a points gap like that allows overconfidence to creep in. The last two games have been a worry.

Funny how when everything is sh*t, it all just gets sh*ttier.
After all these years, why can't I just accept that it's Brentford innit?
Back to the booze for consolation and a headache in the morning.

Can’t recall if we were still 1-0 up when Fosu went off but Maybe we should replaced him with Zamburek instead of Bryan. We seemed to be lacking on energy similar to the Luton game

Its a bit silly to keep saying top two, wheres the problem. The problem is Swansea are one point behind with two games in hand, Watford are only three points behind and winning and Norwich are now 4 points in front. It seemed like we were playing well and second half thought job done. I'm sure it wasn't like that, but it seemed like it. Again get ourselves into a great position in the league, top of the table and it seems like the wobbles come out. This team has talent, no doubt, but do they have the fight for whats ahead? Not over by any means, but as a previous gpg'r said, the promotion winning teams fight their way to win these games. Could just be a blip and all will come good, but we have a poor defence at the moment.
