The rare occasion you want to ****s to win, and they can't deliver.
Never.
A lot of us in the northolt area have taken loads of crap in the last week.
The idiots thought they could make the play offs and they wanted us to fall away and beat us.

It's so funny how a group of fans that don't care about us have suddenly become interested.
Bunch of clowns 🤣🤣🤣

I was at Northolt High for my sins during the seventies, so have quite a few old mates who support the Raarse. They were very complementary but also condescending when we beat them in that first derby game back in the championship, but over time and with the hurt mounting with our domicnation over the years, they couldn't hold back there joy in there recent win over us.
Believe me it really hurts them were the better team now :)

Mind you I’m a Northolt boy, and it was not just qpr and Chelsea there , there were a lot of bees, and we always stood our ground
We live in a Cul de Sac of 13 houses. The last 4 of which were all Bees. Then Dave moved to the Manor. But Bees are well represented in Ruislip now. See more Bees kits at football schools than Rangers now. That was not the case 10/20 years ago.

Very true , people were always taking the piss out of me for being a bees fan. Each to their own. But i could never understand those that supported the big northern clubs that just never made sense to me. Great to see more bees buzzing around though.

I went to school in Acton, right on the borders of rara's country and got loads of condescending abuse, so, apart from the recent defeat, my mind goes back to those days, and how they feel now, not that they probably remember me. They were ****s before I found out who they supported.

The Football Index situation is concerning, and people suspect it's been basically a con all along. Take money, spend money, hope it keeps on coming. Dropping numbers of new signups have meant they crashed out hard. There could be quite significant regulations around betting companies brought in as people have lost thousands of pounds.

poor result for them against Huddersfield which basically means their season is well and truly over. Seems like the big wage loan signings were enough to keep them safe in midtable.

They're over-achieving against their normal target of 16th place.

What ever happens to us this season will still put us in a better position than most of the teams in the Championship.we are so well run, you have Warburton spreading his usual bullshit and still getting nowhere. We got people from other clubs taking the piss because we never went up last season. But lets face the facts, it is only a matter of time before we get there. And i cant wait to be in our new ground with packed out houses sipping ice Cold beers. Remember what it was like watching the boys in a 10.000 crowd? Imagine a full house at Lionel rd, whatever happens we don“t know how lucky we are

Apart from our game there this season being disappointing as a loss, QPR’s results have had absolutely no special interest or bearing on us for a long time. That’s a measure of our relative trajectories. Long may it continue.

Apart from when they play the teams around us, and they still have to play Swansea and Norwich.

I assume they will lose and don’t expect them to do us any more or less favours than any other team. They drew against WBA last game of last season, which in theory helped us but in practice it was still on us. Though of course it’ll be hilarious if their results help us.

Clive from Loft For Words' take on it is typically amusing:

"Having your name on the front of the QPR kit in recent years has been akin to signing the wedding register with Henry VIII: Football Index, collapsed into administration; Royal Panda, ceased UK trading; Dryworld, ceased UK trading; Air Asia, crashed into the sea; Air Malaysia, crashed into the land. QPR, for a second successive season, left with a collapsed sponsor two thirds of the way through the campaign, presumably still owed money, company logo still all over their shirt and official website, no doubt about to be taped over, probably by another bookmaker’s logo."

:ROFLMAO:

That's their season over for sure now.. Let's hope they can at least muster up a couple of decent efforts against Swansea, Norwich and Boro..

It was getting rather quiet here for a while :)

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes for us now that we have nothing to play for. Interesting test for the manager and squad to see if they can push for top half, which would be a big achievement for us given recent finishes and the summer we had.

I suspect our wage bill is significantly lower than yours now. Out of interest, what wages are Austin and Johansen on, and what proportion are QPR paying since you seem to know the finer details?

If you think that your wage bill is significantly lower, feel free to enlighten us on how much those 2 players are on and how much QPR are paying......

I read a few weeks that your CEO said the future is the L Christie stadium or nothing as you need to move from LR.How do you think that can work as it’s basically a small athletic stadium ?

Austin signed a £3.6 million pa. salary at WBA in 2020. Rangers will be picking up a big chunk of that but it’s probably worth it as his goals will keep them in the Championship.

From Swiss Ramble. Since then (this is the figure for our 18/19 accounts) we have sold most, if not all, of our highest earners: Freeman, Luongo, Bidwell, Cousins, Leistner etc. Replacements have all been under a wage cap of about £10k p/w for the highest earners. Unlike previous years, we didn't break that budget when a player threatened to walk out, hence BOS going to Turkey, and Manning going to Swansea. Anyone who has followed the ins and outs of the club will know that our wage budget will have decreased since 18/19.

Yep, there have been a few loans too, but those x2* loans for 6 months this year aren't going to push us into silly territory compared to most of the rest of the division.

*De Wijs and Field are also loans, but with a permanent transfer agreed for the summer, so I wouldn't put them in the same bracket.

3 match ban for Charlie Austin after the cameras caught a stamp that wasn’t seen by the match officials in their game v Forest on Monday.

It's also right next to two large hospitals. When my daughter was in Queen Charlotte's I visited on a Saturday afternoon and found that the carpark was being used by QPR fans as they were at home that day. Tough luck if you are in an ambulance trying to navigate DuCane Road on matchdays.

Well, it was in direct response to your comment that you wondered if we could "keep on signing these loan players on im guessing big wages every season". The significance being that our wage budget is in a very sensible place, and is affordable, even with one or two loans per year.

As for the Linford Christie comment - H&F Council have consulted on redeveloping the site, with one option being a 30,000 seater sports stadium. I personally doubt it will ever happen, partly as I think Imperial have a big interest in the site, but also because I suspect the Council will want to retain an interest in the site for non-footballing activities and the whole purpose of a move for QPR would be to generate more non-matchday revenue. Transport shouldn't be an issue *if* HS2 goes ahead as it would be walking distance from Old Oak station - where Crossrail meets HS2. Hard to get much better from a public transport perspective. Moto point really as it won't happen.

I'd say the significance is twofold.

1. After years of Father Dougal Maguire-level financial management, someone finally pointed out to them that it was time for this:

2. They're now in a battle to finish in their customary 13th place in the table.
I think you'll find that 16th is 'our' spot, and 13th was a lovely bonus last year. More seriously, it's an enjoyable time to support QPR again. Football relatively easy on the eye [yes, yes, I know we got dirty to beat you lot last time out, but that's broadly atypical and should be taken as a compliment], developing players nicely, and not looking over the shoulder the whole time.
