I was at Northolt High for my sins during the seventies, so have quite a few old mates who support the Raarse. They were very complementary but also condescending when we beat them in that first derby game back in the championship, but over time and with the hurt mounting with our domicnation over the years, they couldn't hold back there joy in there recent win over us.Never.

We live in a Cul de Sac of 13 houses. The last 4 of which were all Bees. Then Dave moved to the Manor. But Bees are well represented in Ruislip now. See more Bees kits at football schools than Rangers now. That was not the case 10/20 years ago.
Very true , people were always taking the piss out of me for being a bees fan. Each to their own. But i could never understand those that supported the big northern clubs that just never made sense to me. Great to see more bees buzzing around though.
I went to school in Acton, right on the borders of rara's country and got loads of condescending abuse, so, apart from the recent defeat, my mind goes back to those days, and how they feel now, not that they probably remember me. They were ****s before I found out who they supported.

I assume they will lose and don’t expect them to do us any more or less favours than any other team. They drew against WBA last game of last season, which in theory helped us but in practice it was still on us. Though of course it’ll be hilarious if their results help us.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes for us now that we have nothing to play for. Interesting test for the manager and squad to see if they can push for top half, which would be a big achievement for us given recent finishes and the summer we had.
They can afford it having weaselled their FFP fine down to a pittance, and on the ‘never-never’ too.
I suspect our wage bill is significantly lower than yours now. Out of interest, what wages are Austin and Johansen on, and what proportion are QPR paying since you seem to know the finer details?

Austin signed a £3.6 million pa. salary at WBA in 2020. Rangers will be picking up a big chunk of that but it’s probably worth it as his goals will keep them in the Championship.

Since then (this is the figure for our 18/19 accounts) we have sold most, if not all, of our highest earners: Freeman, Luongo, Bidwell, Cousins, Leistner etc. Replacements have all been under a wage cap of about £10k p/w for the highest earners. Unlike previous years, we didn't break that budget when a player threatened to walk out, hence BOS going to Turkey, and Manning going to Swansea. Anyone who has followed the ins and outs of the club will know that our wage budget will have decreased since 18/19.
It's also right next to two large hospitals. When my daughter was in Queen Charlotte's I visited on a Saturday afternoon and found that the carpark was being used by QPR fans as they were at home that day. Tough luck if you are in an ambulance trying to navigate DuCane Road on matchdays.

I think you'll find that 16th is 'our' spot, and 13th was a lovely bonus last year. More seriously, it's an enjoyable time to support QPR again. Football relatively easy on the eye [yes, yes, I know we got dirty to beat you lot last time out, but that's broadly atypical and should be taken as a compliment], developing players nicely, and not looking over the shoulder the whole time.I'd say the significance is twofold.
