Maybe there is some confusion in the story, iirc 4 QPR were stabbed in Luton around one game in the 80s, it either started the rivalry or intensified it at an early stage.
I assume it’s Rangers chasing them up the platforms.

Concerned they’re actually quite good. There can’t be many teams with a better record in 2021.

They aren't that good. They have a couple of decent players in Chair & Willock (some might argue Dickie, but I definitely wouldn't) but beyond that they are very average indeed. I think they have been pretty lucky with injuries etc so far too. In the good old xG table they are 8th from bottom. This seasons Swansea I reckon.

I think Swansea might be the dark horses this year..

I actually watched most of their game last night. Awful game with both sides lacking real quality. I definitely sense the Championship is overall poor this year in quality. If they fluked promo they would get battered in the Prem.

They've tightened up at the back but I'm not sure if this is due to an improved defensive mindset or a consequence of playing some pretty tepid opposition of late. Bar Muff and Fulham I think there's a general lack of quality forward play, and it's led to a very even low quality field in that division.

I think their schedule for the rest of the yr will ask more questions of them and may reset their supporters current high expectations.

The poorest 2nd tier of English football in history. The only reason they are top half.

This is a fundraiser for the family (wife and kids) of the Luton fan on life support after being attacked by QPR fan last Friday.

I know a lot of you (understandably probably) hate Luton, but hope you don't mind me sharing on here.

Cheers

What are the funds to be used for? Surely his treatment is free on the NHS?

And he’d be entitled to compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. If he wasn’t partially culpable.

Presumably he won't be capable of working and supporting his family, whilst he is on a life support machine, or if he dies next week.

You know what, just delete my post. It's quite obvious that there is no compulsion for anyone to donate if they don't want to.

He may be partially be responsible for being on a life-support machine? Stay classy, AB.

As classy as those Luton fans that smashed up one of our pubs in 1998 in a completely unprovoked attack? Live by the sword, die by the sword…

Stay classy, Mark (will come across particularly classy if Brian does die).

We don’t know what happened. Someone just in the wrong place at the wrong time attacked and badly hurt for no reason or a participant in a fight who came out badly. I hope either way he pulls through but I’m not sure the latter deserves the same sympathy as the former.

Exactly. You don’t deserve to die for having a fight at football! If he even was? Hope he makes a full recovery.

Anyone eulogising over Rob Dickie on this forum should take a peek at Derby's goal last night......he would be demolished at a higher level of football (imo).

QPR would be destroyed in the Prem from a defensive point of view, they wouldn't get a lot of points with that style... Andre Gray's goal was ridiculously good last night though. The Champ isn't great this year and they are one of the better teams outside of the top 2, but I think that many years in the past they would be further down the table...

Glad to see you guys still love us 😘

Can't speak for all Rs fans but I'm just enjoying the ride, the vaguely decent football, and the development of some of our younger players. Dozzell one to keep an eye on, alongside the more obvious lot. AFCON will be the undoing of us with Chair and Dieng gone. Still a decent shot of making the playoffs but no expectation of promotion.

Glad to see you lot doing well. Would really like Mbeumo to stop bloody hitting the post for the sake of my fantasy team.

You’re more patient than me, I’ve with regret transferred Mbeumo out of my FPL this week. I shall just enjoy him turning it round without FPL points.

Can’t you recall Lumley from loan now he’s not starting at boro? Championship looks very poor outside the top two. Obviously I want QPR to find its level at 12th but hard to call 3-6th place beyond near certainty that whoever wins the play offs will have a real struggle next season. So if you do it, thanks for the 6 points.

Me and my friends drafted in our players, so that none of us have any of the same guys. I have Mbeumo but have to stick with him from lack of better options.

But yes I can see it being pretty enjoyable down there at the moment. The excitement of a top 6 run, but without the expectation that can weigh you down at times. Sort of a free swing but with a decent team. With the quality of the Championship this year I would expect QPR to make it in the top 6.
