Hi, my name is Steve and sadly one of my team at work who was a devoted season ticket holder at your club passed away from COVID19 last weekend. His name was Ray Lumley, he was 73 and sat near the goal. You would know Ray if you saw him as due to a childhood condition he was easily recognisable. Ray was an inspiration to me, if I could be half the man he was I'd settle for that.

His colleagues are devastated and we are trying to arrange some fitting tributes to Ray, including a Just Giving page in his name with all money raised going to your clubs Youth Team foundation in his name.

If you think you may have known Ray please accept me personal and sincere sympathies for hearing this news like this, I'm truly sorry.

Ray often had plenty to say about my personal allegiances to a close neighbouring club and those derby games will never be the same for me again. I'm so sorry your club has lost of one of it longest and most dedicated supporters, everyone who knew Ray has had a little light go out in their world.

I know times are hard now, especially financially but our love for our clubs and being with pals in the stands again will come for us again soon, but for the empty seat at Griffin Park here's a link to the page for Ray

Sorry to hear this news.
RIP Ray.

Ps we have not a youth team set up, but If youth is the subject here then buy a few season tickets for kids at the new stadium.

Hi Horshambees,

Buying some kids seasons tickets sounds like a great idea, I'll make sure the funds are donated to the club along with the best suggestions, including yours, as to how to spend, thanks for the heads up mate

Stay safe everyone

RIP Ray and condolences to his family and friends. And your idea of a donation to the club is a very nice gesture, Steve.

Ray was another ever present face at GP and someone I was just used to seeing on matchdays. Really sad to hear of his passing. Sincere condolences to his friends and family.

RIP Ray. Didn't know him but certainly recognise him. How terrible he's been taken prematurely from his family and loved ones :(

RIP Ray. He was a friend and workmate of my dad from when they were at Trico on the Great West Road. Last saw him when I was in front of him at the 4-1 mullering of Fulham at CC. Again, RIP.
