As I said in a previous post, once we get to 65 minutes and thereafter, we are the stronger, fitter, more determined team.

We just grind other teams down until they are running empty.

We soak up their efforts in the first 25 minutes, and then slowly but progressively run them down.

I’ve never seen us hold our shape so well, defend so well, and end up so much in control just waking for those moments to score.πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘βš½πŸπŸ

This again is my 65 minute theory, posted pre-match - - -

"Big night, big game!

I’ll stick with my 65th minute prediction system.

If we are winning then, we’ll win by 2 clear goals.

If we are drawing then, we’ll win.

If we are losing then, we’ll draw.

So whatever happens, we’ll be celebrating being top of the Championship tomorrow night!!!

Come on you Bees! 🐝⚽🐝"

How much work did Raya have to do.Middlesbrough worked him harder . The defence really knows what to do in open play

The third goal, goal of the season contender.
Ball to the far post ( think it was Jensen) Toney chests it down great finish Dasilva..A must for Champagne moment of this game

A big thanks to the fitness guys they have really worked hard with the lads ,that last 20 mins there was only one side chasing and working hard

Really good opponent. We still managed to restrict them to the point they struggled to create good chances. Then we slowly took over the game and steamrollered them with our relentless energy and will to win, plus some outstanding individual quality. In the end they gave everything just to compete with us and they couldn't keep it up. As soon as they dropped their levels we finished them.

Reading seemed to want to settle for a point from 75 minutes 🀣🀣🀣
They were good πŸ‘
And if we didn't have Jensen I'd really want Ejaria βœ…

Looks like Reading fans were right to be fearful about what they had on their bench, whereas we just got stronger.
With the recalled loanees and players still to come back in, we seem to be getting stronger as the season goes on, rather than staggering towards the line as we’ve done in previous years.....

forst half reading bossed it without really looking like scoring other than a dodgy penalty until about 25 mins and then they had a couple of decent chances.

Second half they started the same but created nothing at all, we sort of went sideways and didn’t really click op top and then canos came on and the fresh legs and energy took over and reading were wasting time.

As a Brentford fan you were hoping reading did snatch a winner, as a reading fan they were probably waiting for us to score.

That was bloody insane! They were all over us first half - better passing, better in the box, great closing down, got just about every second ball, squared the ref for the pen. Bringing Canos on was the obvious move and none the less effective for that. Our fitness is incredible and that, plus merciless finishing, was what done it. All three goals were peaches.

We were so patient and controlled, as above we never lost out shape, never panicked, just kept doing what we are good at even though it hadn't really come off before Josh's second. What a group of players this is....who would have thought we would get better than last season after selling OW & SB. So proud of them tonight and so wish we could be there to celebrate with them but maybe this was how it was meant to be...

Massive jump from this team compared to last year's in terms of mentality. Last year as soon as we went behind you just thought "well we've lost now". This team are out to show they're not bottlers and long may it continue.

Hopefully we will end up looking on last season as a blessing in disguise. BEES UP FULHAM DOWN!

That's exactly how I read the game. Reading played superbly for the first 60 mins (kudos to them) - we had to be brave and resolute and dig deep - then we had another gear and our class shown.

Thank you Idi Amin for chucking out my parents in 1972 from Uganda, I could have been a chief with 6 wives instead I am a Brentford fan. :D and no regrets !!!

Sky sports said at the Reading v Bournemouth game that if Reading don't get promoted then they likely to be in breach of FFP, so they may have to sell a few players

I thought we sacrificed some forward play for a more cohesive and collective defensive effort first half.
We then picked 'em off very nicely 🀣🀣

Another tough away game which we concede first against a very good opponent who we reeled back in summarily dispatched in the last 5 minutes. Superb stuff and how lucky are we to be enjoying the exploits of this superbly coached team.

What a nightmare for the Reading players to see Canos come on when they were already knackered. His running just about finished them off. A major difference today was what we had to offer from the bench. Hopefully Reading's injured players will return in time for their games with our rivals.

Three games in a row, gone behind and won. Stattos - when was the last time that happened (if indeed ever)?

Perhaps this is a new TF strategy.

Let the other team score first, false sense of security for them, and then we put the foot on the accelerator and overtake them!😊🐝

Let's face it we are Premiership. I said a week ago we honestly are one of the best 15 teams in English football right now. However. right now we are a Championship club but have we ever scored 17 goals in 4 games before in our history?

Easy to post it now, but at half time I said to Mrs.CB we’ve been second best to a very good team but I’ve never been more confident that we’ll grow into the game and eventually win coz that’s just what we do now.
Wish I was brave enough to have posted then.
Not trying to make myself look clever, just saying I’ve never had a Brentford team that made me feel like that.

Great result when we were not at our best until the last 1/4. How good would the last 10 minutes have been with 4k Bees behind the goal tonight. Should go back to bed for a kip but now way would I sleep. Cant wait for Sunday and a decent 9pm start. Looks like Valentines Day lunch this year!!!
