For the vast majority of us fans today is a historic day. There can't be many Brentford fans around that still remember the last time we were the top team in this league. So make sure you remember where you were guys (I'm guessing for most it will be at home ;)) when we beat Reading tonight.

For too many years we've been sitting here working out whether we can scrape our way into the play off places, and then we all know what happens when we do. But I'm a glass half full kind of guy and truly believe that nothing is going to stop us this year. We're the best team in this league by a mile, with the best manager by a mile, with a cracking new ground ready for the best fans in the world by a mile to get back there as we join the Premier League next season.

The stars are aligned, this is our time and no doom monger will convince me otherwise.

F*ck em. This is about us and everyone at Brentford, fans, players, manager, backroom staff getting that winning mindset. For too long we've been play off failures. But it's different this year. We all feel it. And if that upsets Reading & Swansea fans then so much the better.

Let’s hope it’s not humble pie all round by 9pm.
Followed by an extra helping of egg on your face.
Plus without wanting to sound like a miserable sod, you don’t win anything in February.
I may not remember tonight in 10 years time, but I will remember that penalty hitting the sodding cross bar until I draw my last breath on this Earth.

I enjoy your sentiments but let’s keep our feet on the ground and focus on winning the match tonight and then the one after that until the end of the season. Tonight’s game is the most important one since the last one and then we focus on Sunday again. Let’s remember where we were the day if and when we get promoted.

Its where we are after 46 games that counts. Lets just do what TF does, one game at a time.
I'd be very interested to know what our points total is from our last 46 league games. Anyone know? Must be Champions form surely.

Oh my. This is not going to age well.

Chickens, eggs and counting come to mind. Let's not just freely give other sets of fans free ammunition or motivation for other teams to do a number on us. This is the kind of sh*t that gets pinned up in dressing rooms!

Celebrate when its done, never a moment before.

This is exactly the kind of talk we had before the play-off final last year.
Yes exactly. Being top means nothing in February. If we are top after the last game is played I will be more than happy to join in, but until then it will have to wait. Some posters just cannot resist.....

There are some things we should all feel and BEELIEVE and at the same time there are some things we should just not say, should keep inside and be just expressed with a smile.

I can only assume this is to troll fellow championship fans & rub them up the wrong way.

No way can anyone seriously suggest a ''remember where you were'' without tongue firmly in cheek. Surely.

I remember when we hit the top in 2009 after the relative chore of securing a late point at Accrington. It was significant because we stayed top for the rest of the season after that.
But if someone had started this same thread 10 hours before kick off that day I imagine they would have got a similarly frosty response!

The literal answer is of course boring. I'll be at home, just like almost every other Bees related moment since last June. And I probably won't forget that was the case in a hurry either.

Whilst I understand the whole point about positive, confident, and winning mentality, it really is like putting out a post asking where you'll be celebrating promotion. Nothing wrong with being quietly confident, keeping it internal until it happens.

The stars are <seem to be> aligned, this is <might just be> our time and no doom monger will convince me otherwise. <Hopefully.>

Wow. There are a lot of superstitious people that support Brentford. I have news for you guys...believing this is going to happen won’t impact the result in any way. And I’m a big boy so if it doesn’t happen tonight, although I 100% believe it will, then I can cope with whatever egg I have on my face later on. It feels inevitable that we will go up this season so strap yourselves in for the ride. This will be the best season ever to be a Bees fan, and it’s about time we started to believe that more.

25-14-7 89 points +44 goals (88-44), highest points total not to finish top 2 was 88.

Er I beg to differ, I think you'll find at school I won the "Boy least likely to get a Valentines Day card" award, three years running.

I feel for you.
My postie has a full rectal prolapse every year from delivering all my cards.
