Wow. There are a lot of superstitious people that support Brentford. I have news for you guys...believing this is going to happen won’t impact the result in any way. And I’m a big boy so if it doesn’t happen tonight, although I 100% believe it will, then I can cope with whatever egg I have on my face later on. It feels inevitable that we will go up this season so strap yourselves in for the ride. This will be the best season ever to be a Bees fan, and it’s about time we started to believe that more.

COYB
Less superstitious, more trying to remove the notion that we are an arrogant bunch, which is what a fair few fan groups are saying about us. Be confident and positive, but tread the line of arrogance very carefully.

Confidence = Saying on the match thread we are going to win 5-0.
Arrogance = This thread.

Tonight’s is the first game this season I’ll miss (due to an online meeting which I can’t really avoid). I’m not a superstitious person but today I feel that my not watching is not a good omen. If there were any Gods, I’d pray to them but, having committed too many mortal sins over too many years to mention, that would be pretty unlikely to work.

If we don’t get a result, it’s down to me. 😟

I've missed 3 league games all season. Birmingham, Preston and Stoke. I will be watching tonight.

In my opinion they’re the best team we’ve played in the last 21 games. We should all be confident that this team have what it takes to stay top until May. That’s not arrogance, just belief in the best group of players I’ve ever seen at Brentford.

I was in my bedroom. Watching it on my laptop. I moved to the living room to watch Married at First Sight and realised I couldn't have a drink due to my month off.

I realised that this truly was a day I would never forget. As I sat in my flat during a lockdown.

No way. That's spooky. 4 X Abbot, front room, unprecedented intrepid behaviour vis-à-vis 'er indoors! Seriously! You're not going to tell me you're now watching Everton - Spurs with a tin of Asda Pilsener and a dateless grin, also like me?!!!

All that matters is being top come 5pm on 8 May 2021.

Also, winning one of the - probably 3rd or 4th - most iconic trophies in football.

WC 1930-1970.
WC 1974-Present.
FA Cup 1872-Present (although current one is from a 1911 design.).
EFL Championship 1890-Present.
European Cup 1956-Present.

Then the rest!

Any idea if it is the original still or a replica

I think it's still the original trophy. It's kept at the NFM in Preston. Clubs get a replica.

In my front room, headphones on, eyes glued to the computer screen, coffee in hand!
standing up behind the sofa ( plenty of space for celebration , pacing around , gesticlating at refs , linos ) with copious amounts of San Miguel , Bow and a cheeky cherry gin or 2
