a certain level of abuse towards a an incompetent official who could well have cost the club promotion and an eye watering sum of money and a manager who actively encouraged him and sought to sway the outcome of the subsequent review by an outright lie, must surely be viewed as fair play.
Then abuse him for his actions, not for what he looks like.

Will be interesting to see what the Swansea commentators say about Ricoh tomorrow as their reaction to the tackle was nearly as over the top as the Swansea players.

Does the findings of the appeal get published at all? Might make interesting reading
They'll probably say it's a great stadium and that Coventry should still be playing there.

He looks like a right devious plonker for saying what he did.

He could have said, that he would leave it to the FA to make any final decision on the red card; but he didn’t and now he is left looking like an idiot.

And I’m not referring to his looks, he can’t change those, but he can change his attitude, and for that he deserves to eat humble pie, but he won’t.

I wonder if the above poster will reappear and apologise for not backing the player, the team, the Head Coach, and the club. There were others as well.

Also, I’m looking forward to the Sky pundits backtracking like mad on Wednesday, pre-match.

If you slide out accidentally off the pitch, and take out the opposing Head Coach in the technical area, that’s not a foul is it? I emphasise accidentally.
He is probably a Swansea fan or a Vicar.

I have not read all the previous but it may have corrected a mistake; however, we play 1/3 of the match a man short and during that period, as minds and bodies were tiring, we let in an important goal.

Nothing really corrected regarding the last 30 minutes.

Old Malden, actually......

But we have to use this piece of news to provide us with a sense of momentum - for the first time in a while something has gone our way and if the management and team psychologist gets their messaging right that could be helpful in giving the team the mental lift they need right now.

I don't know if I feel angrier now that the panel has decided that it wasn't a red card (which, obviously, it wasn't) or that it was given in the first place. Either way, I don't want to see that ****** reffing us in the near future.

Spoilsport 😀
I hear that he was narrowly beaten by Andy Sirkis for the part in Lord of the Rings. Can’t understand why as they would have saved a fortune on special effects.

One way we can avoid Stroud ever refereeing us again is to get promoted.

He’s SG2 grade and won’t be anywhere near any Premier League SG1 grade ref matches, any time soon or ever!

Having proved Rico's innocence, how can it be right that we start tonight 1-0 down? Swansea should be made to allow us to walk through and level up from kick off. Rather like a drop ball situation when a team is expected to give possession back to the opposition. In fact they should do it twice. Because as Thomas has pointed out, we actually would have gone on to score and win the game. :fishing:

The ref tonight, Kavanagh, will know that Stroud b***sed up his red card decision, that a gross miscarriage of refereeing occurred, and he will think very, very carefully about pulling out any card of any colour against us tonight.

No chance. They've already named him in the squad.

In a weird way did the sending off help us? The players must have been broken after Barnsley, but by having an unjust sending off, it took their mind of that and re focused there energy into correcting a wrong!

Yes I think it did, changed our energy from nervous to angry and it turns out we play very well angry.

I think Swansea took your suggestion on board.

Assuming we get promoted it wouldn't be surprising if a new EPL diversity driven sizest quota allowed him to follow us

HD didn't leave him much option.
