My only criticism of Rico last season was his final ball. I think he only got 2 assists all season.

he bagged one yesterday. Feeling really good about him this season. He might become the complete article this year, exciting.

Hes class. Wide attackers get very little out of him. Wish TF would bomb him forward a bit more as hes a threat when hes at full pelt.

Further transfer talk around Rico coming out on Twitter, nothing concrete. Still, would be seriously concerned if he left, we need him!
No way will we be letting him go this window. If that were the case, he'd have the kid gloves treatment like SB and not be in the squad. I'm amazed by the amount of people that still take any notice of stuff on twitter. Just ignore it! You've seen on another thread the kind of rubbish (including Bees' followers) post.

If he can get his final ball right more often than not he's going to be worth a HUGE amount! lovely pass for DaSilva on Sat, more of the same please Rico!

I think he has a chance for far more assists and even a goal or 2, because he doesn’t have Said playing between him and goal. Sergi seems more willing to play off him, while Said would take possession

Very valid point. Also Sergi more defensively aware so will automatically cover Rico when necessary.

He has already added so much to his game this season. A top, top player.

Minor hamstring strain according to Frank.
If it was anything serious I'm sure he would have said something like "He'll be assessed on Monday and we'll take it from there."

Need to watch that. Hammies are bastards. Wouldn't be surprised to see him out for a fortnight especially given the energy he puts into his runs.

Will make a MASSIVE difference having him and Raya back tomorrow. Means we can push up the field so there's less space between midfield and attack which was a huge problem last time around..

My moment of the match today was just after Rico’s injury when we were all thinking “oh sh*t” and their player knocked the ball past him and he just put the turbos on and took the ball away from him and life was beautiful again

He is such a good player

Is that the one where he ended up wrong side but still had the pace to get back and round his man? Brilliant today. So sharp and dynamic.

Best left back we’ve ever had? Definitely in the 20 years I’ve been watching.
cant think of anyone better since ijah Anderson days and he was probably the best until Rico ....I can’t remember whoever was left back in early 1970s so looking at Stewart Houston otherwise who moved on to Man Utd and was only dislodged there by Arthur Albiston.

I like Thompson, think he's a good young player that could develop into a solid player but Rico is something special, best left back outside the premier league (and better than many in it I'd argue) and we're such a better side with him flying up and down the wing. Love this guy.

With Rico in the side gives us impetus in going forward and with his speed has the ability to recover in his defensive duties. Provided he can remain fit like last season will obviously command a sizeable transfer fee in the future.

The only two, from my ever fading memory, that would come reasonably close would be Grainger and Bidwell

Different style of player in a different era but Grainger went on to have a decent career at PL level which I can’t see Bidwell doing so he’s the only near competitor and for the time being slightly higher than Rico for having made it. I think Rico will go on to better though, ideally with us.
