No surprise, it was a shocking injury. Good luck to him.

Good luck to the guy I suspect he has been advised to stop playing. I hope he gets a decent pay off

Hopefully he has made enough money in his short career and enough insurance to give him the opportunity to move on with something else.

Just saw a report saying his net worth is around 13M.

Based upon absolutely nothing, I suspect he would trade a fair proportion of that in exchange to continue playing. Money's great but health and vitality trump it.

Where did you see this? Lots of reports saying his transfer to Hull from Spurs was £13m, but I'd be amazed that at 26 years old he'd be worth net £13m, particularly with Spurs being such cheap payers!!

I doubt his accountant/IFA will have told anyone, anyway, and the player himself is unlikely to know. Any hack can make up a figure and publish it; it's the same old story in that the player is never going to say "you're wrong, it's nnn". It strikes me it's highly unlikely, unless it's an inheritance.

The odds of having your career savagely cut short like that are actually very low.
But savagely cut because you are not deemed good enough for a 2nd lucrative contract is more common. So take the money when offered is understandable.
