On the bench again....
But right now Lingaard is playing at his peak but runs on empty after an hour. So gives Said 30 minutes to shine and stretch the tiring Spurs defence

Moyes chooses to keep Lingard on but switch him to the right, but he is only walking back. He should have been replaced

Spuds lose 1-2 to Wet Spam. Said finds himself in a team in the top 4 and just one point off 2nd place. I've no time for the dildo brothers, but I must confess to admiring the job Moyes is doing there. He was never given the chance at Man U that subsequent managers had (nor wasted the money they did). Knowing them, they will sack him in less than 12 months.

ive been critical of Moyes but you can’t fault him this season. Only the not signing a striker part. But whether that was him or the dildo brothers, will never know.

I still think West Ham are one of the biggest miracles in football, STILL playing that good, regarding their signing policy, losing millions in Haller, e.g.

difficult to criticise moyes’ handling of him given what West Ham have done this season but there’s no doubt he joined the wrong club from his perspective

I can't see what's wrong with being a regular first team squad member of a club in the top 6 of the Premier League...

I dare say he would’ve expected significantly more minutes than his had. Look at the difference between the impact he’s had compared to Watkins.

For Said personally, he’d have been better of at Leeds.

He seems to be starting regular games but it's up to him to do enough not to constantly getting subbed...looks like they'll be in Europe next season so I'm sure he's happy

I don't think he's subbed because he's not performing. He's generally replaced because he has put in a real shift. Moyes has coached him into a very disciplined role which he is now carrying out to a tee. The perception is that he has probably done his bit by 70 minutes and is more likely to fade than peak. Secondly, with Wham 2-0 up, as a flair player, he is likely to be pulled anyway, in favour of a more defensive option. This is a Moyes set-up, remember.

I'm enjoying watching him grow into this role. It's a shame he needs to be so risk-averse, but long term this is probably quite useful for his development. We probably won't see the real Saïd until maybe 80 minutes with Wham 0-2 down.

I thought he played well and while not yet natural in a midfield role looked like he was concentrating hard on doing it well. He still got to burst forward and made some lovely passes as well as some decent shots. He’ll become a much better player for this even if he’s not getting the headlines for outrageous skill and goals.

Quite possibly however, Said is now part of a team challenging for a top 4 place, would not be happening at Leeds. Agree would be playing more at Leeds but better off? I suppose it depends on what you want.

Maybe. Though he doesn’t strike me as the type who’s happy to play a bit part.

Both times I've watched them when they are leading and he goes off - they completely conceded any attacking threat and seem happy to sit in and take pressure. I never understand this - surely having someone who can hurt you on the counter and keep the ball in the opposition half is a better tactic? As for last night, Lindgard was awful second half and looked completely knackered, should have been hooked before Benrahma.

Don't think he's playing a bit part. He's very much part of a rotational system. Decent game last night, but was clear that fresher legs were required that last 20 minutes against a very athletic Leeds side, who'd made changes themselves earlier.

That was more Leeds making that happen though. He was replaced by Bowen, who is excellent on the counter attack, it was only when Johnson came on for Lingard last 10 that they conceded attacking threat.

For game time maybe. Would he fit into the hard working system at Leeds? Run run and run, im not too sure, hes still a flair/luxury player.

Challenging top 4 atm whats not to like, plus i can see Leeds struggling with a second season syndrome next season. I think hes made the right move. Just needs a few goals.

Anyone who thinks he's not happy currently at WHU are on some strong stuff! 😂
He was beaming and right in the middle of both goal celebrations.

Moyes has openly spoken about gradually introducing him into the side, as he's found that Championship players typically take a while to adjust to the raise in level. He has been playing more since the turn of the year than before that.

It's a shame he isn't directly involved in more goals, but he played well the other day. He may be a more key figure next season though.

Yes we have seen that with Maupay and Watkins

Just because Antonio is willing and able to play left wing, doesn't mean it's a wise decision. Play Benrahma.

Typical dinosaur Moyes again last night. Sets up shop for the big teams in same old negative fashion.

I know outside looking in “West Ham are 5th you muppet”

Yes, I know. But whenever we play Noble the team is horrid and plays dreadful - in fact - plays the same as the last 5 seasons.

Benny not getting his game time.

Always seems to be on the periphery of the action. One or two nice touches but not enough involvement and certainly won't tackle.

If you watch Said his stride shortens as he tires, it picked up again briefly when creating that chance for Antonio.
