Had two efforts in the first half I recall, one straight at Raya and the one just wide. Had the free-kick in the 2nd. You need to give him the ball for him to do anything and they didn't do that very much did they. Not a Moyes type player and don't think he'll ever thrive under his management but it's not our problem anymore.

He has been one of their best players this season and was their most likely against us.

I think that his own words in yesterday's programme are quite telling:

"Thomas Frank was great for me in my two years with the Bees and now David Moyes is helping me push on even higher."

"When I came over from France I quickly adapted to life at Brentford. The team were great for fitting me in. I really enjoyed it."

"Thomas Frank was great for me - he helped me both on a footballing and personal level so I can only thank him."

"Now David Moyes pushes me to become a better player and we have a good understanding."

Where do we think he'd really rather be playing right now?

I think you are Reading too much into an innocent comment.

West Ham. Gets paid a lot more.

Bowen looked far livelier for me. Said appeared more central mostly & was on the periphery of the game. Have heard from several regular West Ham fans that ge has sparked this season but isn't consistent.

Watching the game on Sunday, he just didn't do the kind of things that used to wow us. A combination of no seeing enough of the ball and (I assume) being told to reign it it and not do anything outrageous. His real talents are not being used.

Two goals tonight including an excellent second goal.

GOAL - Genk 1-2 West Ham

Said Benrahma
And West Ham do turn it around!
It's a superb solo goal from Said Benrahma. The Algerian spins on the left edge of the area by clipping the ball past defender Mujaid Sadick and running the other way around the defender.
The stunning piece of skill puts Benrahma in on goal and he toe-pokes in a low finish at the near post.
"Magical, mesmeric," says Peter Drury on comms.

Lack of love from his team mates I thought though. 🙁
Yeah, and the manager too. I couldn’t believe he’d not been subbed by the time he scored. They play good football, are doing really well and Moyes doing a great job, but can’t help feeling he’d be better off at a club that really appreciated him and gave him licence to really express himself.

Yeah, I’m sure he got an absolute shellacking for that goal. What was he thinking?

I would say Moyes certainly last year but from what I have seen Moyes has a lot more faith in Said this year. He has been pretty much a first team starter this year and maybe Moyes taking him off was to protect him from getting injured/ resting him before they play Liverpool on Sunday?
