thats an interesting one, we've won 4 on the bounce and would we instantly go back to 5-4-1?

I personally think WH played better with the 5-4-1 - but it'd be risky to change it back straight away.
West Ham fans love Matsuaka.

About to made permanent so they can free up a loan spot to bring in Lingaard, according to reports. Which will presumably mean the first cash instalment is on its way.

Why on earth are they signing Lingaard, they already have too many players in that role.

Not really. It’s cover for centre mid/CAM in 4-2-3-1 and central attacking if we go back to 5-4-1 formation.

I do NOT want Lingard. He’s awful.Another expensive waste of money. Look at how the Czech boys have done. Great signings. Lingard seems lazy to me. But I think Moyes loves him and wouldn’t surprise me if Said gets dropped
For him
In all honesty!

All a bit transparent, scumbags indeed. Happy when it suits them but happy to turn s@#$housery up to the max when they want to stall. I presume the £60,000 a week is still enough to tempt Said into the 5 year contract, it probably would me.

For football development the wrong move, but then I do not blame him at all. Footballers short career so the money will be a huge incentive. So many players move for money reasons and not career driven ones, but that's the football world won't change.

In what way do you think he is lazy ?
Does he lay in bed, instead of training every day ?
Does he ask the manager, to sit on the bench, rather than play ?

Maybe he’s just languid?

I think they paid it already or do you mean the next installment after the loan fee?

Love the idiots on twiiter who think WH have just wired £25M into MB's account . No understanding of how things work at all, epecially with WH.
Already paid £5m I believe as a loan fee.....and no they don't have a scooby about how deals are structured, would be very surprised if any major fees are paid up front.

I read it as a £5m loan fee, and then £5m each year for the remaining four years. Making it official wouldn't advance the second year payment would it?

It would make the commitment more certain in the Player Debtors account.

Amazing game from Said tonight, he was always running and willing to accept the ball turning defence into attack. Not Man of the Match because of Soucek’s 2 goals and not thanked by Moyes when he left the field but the Hammers fans must be loving him

He's warming up and Moyes is having to accept him and use him. Although they might not have initially hit it off, Moyes is a good coach and Said is a wonderful player. Wait and see.

David Moyes in his post match PC

"We've got a deal that we will take on Said anyway, so whether we do it now or we do it later in the year, it was only to do with a slight medical issue which we had to solve," he explained as to the winger's signing as a loan deal on Transfer Deadline Day in October. "

Out of interest, why is this the wrong move in terms of football development? Which team should he have gone to, and what if they didnt want him?

Taking the step up into a higher league, you will be testing yourself against better players each week and as you say, on bigger bucks.

Said doesn’t look at his happiest but he’s learning how to do the sort of defensive job all top PL players need to be able to do and how to combine it with his skill and creativity. Moyes is very good at the less exciting aspects and it does not hurt at all to learn them. Said last season was a far better player than the season before because he started to get that all round contribution properly going. WH are up at the top end of the table so he’s not doing this in the midst of a demoralising relegation battle but while establishing himself as a top end PL player who merits a regular start in a club challenging for a European spot. It’s a great opportunity. Probably a better move than it seemed back when it first happened.

In fairness don't think there were too many options at the time willing to pay us what we wanted. When signing for his pay rise I doubt that either Said or his advisors had his football development as one of his priorities.

Granted, but it would be nice to keep improving, if only to force his way into the Algerian team, and/or dislodge Mahrez.

Now Permanently a West Ham player according to Sky

Once again, a doff of the hat to the DOF's.

I was one of those that thought the dildo brothers had pulled one over on us with the Loan leading to eventual purchase.

Very happy to say I was wrong.

Some people (to be fair who are mostly on Twitter rather than on here) should have a long hard look at themselves about their bed wetting over this being a loan initially and West Ham screwing us over.
