I imagine we are getting a deal done purely for saids benefit at this point. If there was more time i imagine they would have been told to **** off.
Thing is they have had loads of time, they are turning us over. Please Matthew walk away.

Saïd Benrahma has asked again to leave Brentford and join West Ham. He wants this chance at #whufc and expects last details to be sorted [with new structure of the deal - loan with buy option]. Run against time after today’s drama and deal agreed yesterday... 🚨 #Benrahma

What rubbish.

He has had his medical, has agreed terms, Brentford accepted an offer. Why is he asking to leave again, did he forget?

Might it not just be an accounting ruse for WHU? That is, a 1 year loan with an obligation could mean it doesn't appear on the books as a £25m(?) liability for another 12 months?

Any accountants out there?
And they only realised with 3 hours of the window remaining?

Michael Turner?
Current regime, Phil Giles knows what he's doing as he's proven time after time. People think this stuff is so easy, you've got a player that wants away, 25M on the line, etc etc. Let's trust our people to ensure we don't get shafted, they haven't done anything in the past to suggest we will.

Benrahma asks for bonus, West Ham agree a slightly higher wage, Brentford don't budge; West Ham finds out that Said has tiger blood, Said asks for a transfer, Brentford pay slightly less to Said as he asked for a transfer and knock a little of the price for West am, West Ham lower their wage offer. Everyone back to where they started

If it's loan to buy then that is an EXACT replica of his replacement's (Ghoddos) deal. Don't recall seeing anyone on here cry about that at the time 🤔
I think you will find that we can get out of the Ghoddas deal if the two clubs saga causes us problems

They can still do that with a normal deal bas it always instalments.
Yep I’m very well aware of that, with large chunk up front for us usually. Currently we have nowt. Hopefully they wont dick the club around like they did Frankfurt and Metz. Apart from that I’m sure PG has the money sorted.

I couldn’t give a diddly about the money as long as we get it, just don’t understand why it’s being reported done and then still not done, is it done or do we have another twist in the next 15 minutes?

What is it with players dubbed 'most skilful player ever to wear a Brentford shirt' leaving on loan in confusing circumstances?

Oh, you don't rally believe that do you...come on, you are better than that.

Why would he ask to leave after he has agreed a deal and BFC have accepted the bid.

How the fk does this bloke know what SB is saying in the WHU boardroom.

I thought the days of us getting our trousers pull down had long gone. We have to ask why we have entered into any sort of deal with this lot following our past record with them. We will whistle for any future money from them.

Keep Said until at least January, when we hope that a decent outfit come in for him.

That is closed, a fine needs paying.

So if the player doesn't pay his fine we can get out of an obligation to buy? Please explain?

You or I do not know the terms of the deal or why WHU changed to loan to buy but I rather think we should trust the club if they are happy to proceed....

So its a LOAN for the season , buy him next season .. is this why the spivs hung it out for months, right up to an hour to go, they had no intention of parting with a penny ? .. if they had been up front months ago and asked to LOAN him for a season, i dont think this would have happened

That one I really don't get. Why would media opinion back Brentford into a corner? The player (and his agent) perhaps. Headlines in the Daily rag? not so much.

We are being shafted. If he wants away then WHU pay now. If he wants Premier football maybe he should have contributed a bit more at end of season instead of showboating

Player desperate to leave. Finally deal agreed in principle. Player then knows exactly how much he will receive. Buying club then change the goalposts last minute leaving us with a v unhappy player if we don’t accept.

We have been shafted but this is what happens when you hold out for the biggest fee possible and it goes last minute.

West Ham owners have dealt with this awfully, like some spivs in The Apprentice.... but they got what they wanted.
Lets hope Said is awful this season, West Ham get relegated and are obliged for us to pay £25m....

Happy to proceed may not be the club's feelings, more likely we've had to agree to it out of necessity. If it's true of course.

I would think it would be an option if it happens. What would be the point of renegotiating to a loan with an obligation? From our point of view I can only imagine that we are asking for a mammoth loan fee to mitigate the risk of his value depreciating. I hope we never deal with these clowns again.

I'm more concerned that we have done nothing to bring in a midfielder now we have no CN for 8 weeks. I can't watch Jenson & Marcondes in midfield together again. Do you think we still deserve to be favorites after this window. Honest view as we were before the window opened. straight answer please, not just agreeing with the main on here.
Apart from trying to buy Bannan you mean? Jesus Christ man

If it’s a time issue, why not loan until January with obligation to buy then, why wait a whole season!

Amazing how we have so many armchair DOFs.
I have every confidence any agreement reached will be in the best interests of BFC.
I am not party to the facts, so not able to confirm the bad guys in all this.
One person I feel sorry for is MB, as ultimately he has to cover any losses not covered by player sales. Why he would want to still be involved in the business of football is beyond me.
Which kind of obviates having a forum. Of course we all know how good our DOFs are but that does not mean that we do not feel emotional about certain subjects. Following your suggestion we laeve

We did not deserve to be favourites from the start. Give me 54 points and I will be happy. Anything else is a bonus

Media feeds into fans which builds the pressure rather than Phil Giles picking up The Sun and thinking 'sh*t I better shift/keep Said'. I imagine it doesnt impact much but wouldnt stop a sh*theap like WHU using every means to save a few quid.

Not sure what you are fishing for from other posters here?

You are fully aware that comparing the Ghoddos transfer to the cowboy actions of Sullivan and Gold is a disingenuous thing to say.

Now Chiswick (proud to be a YIMBY)
Sell him to Villa for £20m + £10m add ons to stitch the dildo brothers and their ho up.
Tbh, the DB's getting out of paying out money to anyone for anything suits them, esp if they can blame it on Bees/SB/Agent/Medical etc.

Of course this would only make their fans hate them even more, but since when did that bother them?
