Bit old fashioned me. The players job was to get Brentford into the Premier League. They failed. And rather than stick around to finish the job properly, one or two have fast tracked it. So nah. Hope they (and him) go down with Villa and Fulham. In fact reduce the Premier by two teams and we'll have West Brom and Leeds back down as well. Then I don't want him fast tracking his way back up with us. His job will be to help get West Ham back up and he should bloody well stick around to do it. Hate modern football, its ethics, the zero loyalty and how greed rules it. Not even sure why I still follow it really. I think I'm going to have a little lie down actually. Can we have him back when we go up and they go down ?
That's what makes modern football so hard to take. You can't even hate clubs properly anymore. Imagine if he'd gone to Fulham and we were forced to hope they stay up!I'll give you Fulham but I'd guess that both Ollie's and Saïd's sale contracts have an add-on based on retaining their Premier League status.
If you watch the Phil Giles interview, Phil Giles Transfer Summer 2020 Window Update, you will see that it is true. But it wasn't a "loyalty bonus".I don't know if this is true, but my Algerian colleague brought it to my attention:
