It really is a complete joke. Apart from the fact that he was shoved by the defender which put him half a cm offside, when he actually scored he was five yards clear of the defender. Did that half a cm really make a difference???

Apparently the Dutch football authorities are using a thicker line on the VAR screen. On the line is onside. Simple solution.

Rule changes needed,handball like it was in the old days,has to be clearly intentional.For offside,only if there is clear daylight between attacker and defender,with benefit of any doubt to attacker.Given the amount of simulation and cheating,explain to the Clubs that penalties only given for stonewall incidents,with benefit of doubt to the defender.
Get rid of VAR,and enforce retrospective bans for cheating,off the ball stuff etc.
I thought Dean interviewed very well,given the circumstance.

but even that is a nonsense, offsides are bein given for literally a toenails width sometimes 40 yards from goal, I remember there was one for Sheff UTd v Spurs last year involving Lundstram that was so far from what we know of the spontaneity of football, it was truly farcical. He was on the right wing on the touch line 40 yards from the goalscorer he crossed to, with two defenders in the way and it took almost 4 minutes to decide. THAT is not football.

What gets me here is that they've based the black line (which is not symmetrical to the yellow one it looks) on his foot but his arm is further out of his body.
I think if they moved the line slightly higher up the yellow line to compensate for that, then he may well be on.
