Derby now only 11 points adrift after taking 10 points from their last 4 games.

They would be mid table without the point deductions.

I sincerely hope they drop but there are some awfully turd teams at the bottom of the Championship.

Came back from 2-0 down at Reading to earn a point today.

Watching on a stream (Man Utd v Wolves) and the commentator mentions that Ronaldos shot (on target) won't be counted as on target as he was "offside". But no free kick (as Mike Dean waved advantage as keeper had the ball) was given so technically should the stat not read he had a shot on target?
Until he is penalised for being in offside position, the game is still in play.

Strange.

FULL-TIME

Man Utd 0-1 Wolves
It's all over!
Wolves win a league game at Old Trafford for the first time since 1980 and boy did they deserve it.
Ralf Rangnick tastes defeat for the first time as United boss.

If United fans weren’t depressed after that result then that Shaw post match interview was even more damning ! Big problems within the Man United dressing room.

Does it count as an offside then? Sounds like a rule they made up at SkyBet

Credit to Shaw. As far from the usual anodyne platitudes as you can get. For those who haven’t seen it, I’d paraphrase as “half my team mates are lazy bar stewards, the other half aren’t very good, and we’ve yet to learn anything from the new manager”. Great TV 😁 p.s. He did speak warmly about Phil Jones

The betting companies all say they take OPTA's decision as final so can't blame them.
Did see one definition say that if the ref calls it as offside then it won't count as a shot and I suppose that is what has happened if he's explicitly imdicated that he's playing the advantage.

Then surely they should count every advantage played for a foul towards the foul count.

Shame the Bees missed the chance to play them before Christmas. I think they might have been there for the taking.. maybe when we play then in a week or so with more of our players back from injury we can take a really bid scalp!! Let’s win at Port Vale first. 😉

That's brilliant! Good goals, a wonderstrike and two fantastic OGs. Is non-league football always this good? : 🎣
Fans on the pitch as well! Plus that fifty yard shot. Absolute quality scenes all round and five of the six goals directly in front of the fans.

Agreed. However they still appear vulnerable.

The definitions for fouls won and fouls conceded specifically say that the offence is penalised
So going back to my original post, if a flag is raised but the referee does not give offside, why do the shots on target not count despite the offside not being given (thus no offence is penalised)?

All I can say is that the definition doesn't mention that a free kick has to be given

Linares 1-0 Barcelona at HT in the Spanish cup. Linares are my local team, mid table in the third tier of Spanish football.

A couple of substitutions and Barcelona have Piquet, Jordi Alba, Busquets and Dembele on the pitch. Also Dani Alves who's now 38. I wonder if Xavi will get his boots out.

Doncaster were 0-3 up at half-time away to Morecambe.

WIth 5 mins to go, Morecambe have just gone 4-3 up with our old pal Toumani hitting what should be the winning goal!

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
They really should have been on the pitch if Toums scored the winner after that!

Barcelona wins 2-1.

3 star subs at half time, 1 being Frenkie De Jong...
Booked 58th minute.
Subbed off after they go 2-1 up in 74th minutes.

Barcelona take this trophy seriously as it's the only one they've got a dog's chance of winning.

Another local team, Atlético Mancha Real (Royal Stain!) of the 4th tier fight for the pride of the province against Athletic Bilbao tomorrow, having knocked out Granada in the last round. But they look too much like Bristol City in a silly purple and green thing.

The "big team" in the province, Real Jaén, have plummeted to the 5th tier which is amateur. Linares fans hate them.

The Marseille keeper was booked for delaying the game?? When he had his finger dislocated and he was challenged for an aerial ball by a Bordeaux forward. Harsh to say the least. The cameras then focused on his finger being put back into position

Yep Olise looks quality. However, can’t believe that the commentator on ITV was having a pop at him for making an innocent gesture at the Millwall fans when they threw a bottle at him and not even condemn the bottle throwing. Joke.
