It is scarcely believable that something that has been talked about all of my lifetime it seems is finally going to happen. Some remarkable people have made this happen and have been supported by remarkable fans. Can't wait for the build camera to go online.

Totally agree.

Everybody played their part. From MB down to the supporter backing the plans.

Great work all round.

:bound: :bound: :bound:

Buzzing. Big weekend too. I'll be having a beer tomorrow.

Who is buying?! rofl

Great news. What better way to celebrate than going to pick up 3 points in the backyard of a block of flats.

Great news. I just hope that everyone in the new flats doesnt flush their toilet at the same time. It could be carnage

Absolutely brilliant news

So far this week I have had two early birthday presents in the form of 6 points, today is my main present and hopefully the cherry on the top will be arriving tomorrow

Said it before but I will say it again, thanks to all the people who have worked on this over the years, thanks to the group of people such as Brain Burgess, Chris Gammon et al who seem to have been working on this almost constantly with the occasional break for sleep and sustinence but most of all THERE IS ONLY ONE MATTHEW BENHAM without whom none of the fantastic stuff that is happening on and off the field of play would have been remotely possible

I read almost daily of clubs being used and abused by owners who know nothing of the club they own or their traditions with Charlton seeming the latest and then I remember how lucky we are

Amazing news!!! Well done to Mr Benham, Mr Burgess, all at BIAS, all who wrote letters, sent e-mails, the planning team and whoever else I have forgot to mention. :bound:

In all the excitement I cannot hide the fact I will be truely gutted to move away from GP :(

I sat there all night at that ridiculous council meeting - I earned this result. Thank you everyone for such hard work - special mention for the recent (too many) bees fans that have passed, this day is for you all.

I've seen Brentford Market, Western International Market and Griffin Park redevelopment plans, all come and go. Threatened moves to Hillingdon, Woking and Feltham, come and go - thankfully.

Finally, us Bees have something to shout about!

A sad day to come though when leaving GP.

But what a lovely morning it is today. :D

Yes, go on, all enjoy the news. - But do not bother to spare a thought for me.

51 years attending Griffin Park
The last 6 years behind a pole from Block D, Row I, Seat 26
No more wearing waterproof shoes in case I might use the gents
No more nasty food
No more nasty and overpriced tea and coffee
No more "wish there was a bit more legroom
No more squeezed like sardines in The Hive
No more horrible ques to purchase / pick up tickets
No more other things I have forgotten

And now I have to look forward to giving all that up. :(

extra thanks to all bees who got personally involved, dedicating their time and effort to getting us this result. I did not make it to the council meeting or get personally involved in the Lionel road battle (too far, too late, poor excuses) and am proud that brentford has fans willing to go the extra mile to help their club
today is for our local heros

Can I, my two sons, and three grandchildren each buy a brick to contribute to the construction. Can we have a viewing gantry created on the edge of the site so that we can watch it rising from the ground

Are we still subject to anything?!
For the lay people who dont know the finer points, does this literally mean building is going to start ?

The S106 is a legal document, so there is a bit of fine tuning to go before it is signed off but I don't think that will take long. There shouldn't be anything to stop us giving notice to the current tenants imminently.

We also have the issue with the CPO, to ensure we acquire all of the land for the project.

Hasn't really sunk in yet, but when we see the first bulldozers going to work, the dream really would have come true. Feeling emotional now.

Brilliant. Well done everybody. All those emails did their job. I'm really impressed this got through the 3 levels of planning approval without a single throw back. Brian & Chris really covered every angle putting the application together.

So it's not quite :bound: yet then?

The section 106 should be a formality. Its putting into legal documentation the agreement of what monies we have agreed to put into improving local facilities and road layouts etc. This will have already have been agreed in principal so its just putting it into words and a legal agreement.

Thanks MB.

We'll finally have a stadium to be proud of again since '86, when the Royal Oak was knocked down.
