Thought it was for kicking the ball away. Which was a joke given that a little earlier a Leeds attacker booted the ball out of play in a temper tantrum after being given offside.
Yes, but he needs to show a bit more sense. Some of the bookings he's picked up have been really stupid and he does like to mouth off to the ref/lino and it's not unknown for him to write around like he's been shot.

Agree that he is better off near the front and hope we sign a really good RB or RWB in Jan.

Maybe new signings in January means that the wing back experiment gets put to bed. It's probably not doing his career any good - he's a forward.
As far as January goes I suspect you are right.

Props to Sergi though. Part of what enables players to have good careers is their ability to adapt to different roles as required of them by the team. He’s played everywhere for us over the years and this season has faced up to the challenge against some very strong opposition.

It’s only really started to unravel defensively at RWB with Ajer and Zanka both injured who would usually play as the right sided centre back.

I'll be honest, I like Roeslev and I'm willing to let him develop.

He's been good at RWB for the majority of the time we've played the system, two below par performances don't change that. Roerslev did a good job today as well. That's not to say we don't need to strengthen in the transfer window but ready made Premier League quality doesn't come cheap.
Yes he is a hot head & maybe the criticism is warranted but it's part of the way he plays, he's passionate & wears his heart on his sleeve. As for 'writhing' around I don't think he's better or worse than many Premier League players.
I'd actually prefer to give him praise following a welcome return to form today rather than pick out perceived faults in his game. His versatility as a player will serve us well this season.

:sorted: Completely agree it was a good game from him and good to see a return to form after a couple of below par efforts. However, he should always look for improvement and stupid bookings when we are short of 3 or 4 of our best 11 does the team few favours. He is certainly versatile, but I do not feel is a PL quality RWB. He has done exactly what has been asked of him, though.

I think he showed today why maybe when we can, we should play 3-4-3 more. His passion won many a battle and is why he does so well on occasion when he's left on his own in a channel.

I for one am in favour of trying to release him forward, maybe with Ivan out this is what we need, similar to how we started playing 3-5-2.

Walking away from the ground a couple of Leeds fans singing extremely liable songs about him, you don’t hear that about players who’ve gone missing/not been effective so job done.

That said a Leeds fan on twitter who seems sound said his over celebrating in front of the Kop caused a plastic cup to be thrown at him which lead to theatrics of “help me Vic I’ve fallen” etc

Quite honestly, if a player needs another player in order to perform, he shouldn't be in the team.
Strange think to say. Clearly the variety of skills and talents of players is heavily influenced by how they gel, combine and compliment each other. Nearly every bees fan that I have spoken to has said exactly this, sergi plays better with ajer right side.

Still SERGIO CANYOS to the commentators!

Why they continue to pronounce his name this way is still totally beyond me, I can't work it out. It's drives me up the wall!!

Is anything going to happen about the missile that was thrown at him after he scored? Typical Leeds fans....
He was asking for it to be honest, i'd rather he didn't go down like a sack of potato's personally... wish he'd thrown it straight back.

By the way, he wont care one bit if there's actions taken against those fans, he loves it! Absolute Bees hero and will verge on legend status soon.

He wasn't even kicking the ball away. He just nudged it a few feet to where the foul took place. Poor ref decisions with our yellows. Dirty Leeds should have had more as they did against CP a few days before.

Can't disagree with any of that. Thought the referee was poor again without giving any significant game changing decisions against us, just didn't seem to be consistent or even handed in his decision making.

He was only giving back what the Leeds fans have been giving him for the last couple of years after his head tap on one of their players, who shouldn't have been in our dugout anyway.
