I feel midfield is the area where we have been short of quality this season.Still missing Woods and Sawyers in my opinion. This guy looks like he could solve that

It's not a length of contract that gives you any other conclusion but that the club rate him very highly

I think it’s going to be interesting to see Baptiste battle it out with Da Silva for the starting position, if he’s as good as people are saying

Agreed I noticed that also and a year more than Fosu.

Really looking forward to seeing him play and I for one heard his name but not really knew much about him. Be interested to see how he fits into our play.

looks a quality addition! Needed another player who can help unlock defences and he seems just the man

Welcome to Brentford.

Hopefully you'll have better luck than the last time you were at Griffin Park.

Great signing. Been following this guys progress ever since he and his brother Clinton came to prominence with Brian Potter’s developmental side at Phoenix FC, Chorley. Another positive move forward by the DOFs.

Sounds a very talented and promising player. Like Fosu, I don’t know much about him but looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team.

Not many posts seeing as this seems like a very good purchase.

Very excited by this lad's signing. Think he's another that's gonna be a star. 21 with loads of room to grow.

My wife's from Oxford and a couple of her friends have been going on about him for a good few seasons. Said he's the best player they've produced for years and years. Very much looking forward to seeing him play.

I wonder if the injury to Kamo has forced us to move 6 months earlier for Baptiste than we'd originally planned.

One of my best mates a big West Ham fan sent me a text late last night saying Baptiste ran the show back in September when they thrashed the Hammers 4-0. West Ham had a strong team out that night. Good enough for me. Expecting him to be on the bench next week.

Hewillfind it difficult to get a starting position at the moment.
Not if he does well off the bench...sounds like we have a back up option for almost every scenario across the front 6 now!

Baptiste seems most closely aligned to JDS by the sounds of the write ups he’s getting. I’m sure there will be games where the two of them on the same pitch alongside a holding midfielder will be frightening!

Or on bench as Marcondes covers the two more offensive central midfield positions and would imagine Thomas will always want a defensive midfield cover being either Yearwood or Mokotjo . I wonder if we will see a tad more rotation over next 16 games than seen in last couple of months?

I think so too, hes gone slightly iffy recently. Not terrible but doesnt seem to be involved as much as previously, maybe thats because jensen has been taking more attacking responsibility though

yes , he's been asked to do a bit more , and is making a few mistakes , needs a rest , he's only just become a first team player and needs more game time management

It’s great to have those options and not to have to rely on the same players starting every game. Although I’d imagine Baptiste will be on the bench Saturday and JDS will start again.

George Elek saying that Karl Robinson told him that Baptiste wouldn't get into the OUFC team when everyone fully fit. This seems..... odd and Elek says that he disagrees.

Wasn't saying that when we showed interest in him.
