I was under the impression (could be wrong) these areas will be available to buy per match. Either via some capacity not released to ST purchases or those ST purchases going to resale per match if not being used.

Any idea when the Stadium is complete and handed over? IF the new season started with crowds allowed back in would it be ready?

That's the fullest the stadium is going to be for a while

I bet when they voted on the coloured seats they had no idea that we would have zero fans !!

Don’t know why but these pictures have really brought it home. We’re moving. Suppose the outside pictures we have been seeing mock ups for a long time, then the insides are also a reality. Wow.

Thanks all

Guessing these are all South Stand images? Very nice looking bar areas...hopefully the West Stand concourse is half as nice, I would be happy with that!

Totally conflicted. Can't wait to see our first game there and can't stand the thought of not being able to say goodbye to GP.

It will look lovely when the shag carpet is down and net curtains are up.
That really is sweating the asset, with a discrete red light over the 'guaranteed no CCTV' dimly-lit side entrance.

And the mirrored ceiling rolls over the top

A little bit unfair in my opinion. Based on the fact these seats have been introduced to create a sense of a full stadium on the TV, should we be under sold at all, then we could be giving ourselves a real chance of getting more live games and being more attractive to potential fans/visitors.

How many games have you seen at the Riverside and thought "God that looks awful/How is it so empty/I would hate to be in a half empty ground"...you wouldn't want to visit it because it LOOKS so bad, but people may be more inclined to visit if they feel they'll get a better experience in the ground.

You’d have to be pretty myopic to think that an empty coloured seat was occupied. 🤓

Its an idea that may have had some grounding when tvs were all SD and the background was fuzzier. With HD and 4k becoming the new normal it's far more obvious which seats are occupied or not.

I imagine, if anyone IS fooled by those awful seats into thinking the ground is f
regularly full, they are just as likely to say 'that grounds always full, tickets must be a nightmare to get hold of' and not bother to look into it as they are to be enticed in :fishing:

But it seems to be solving a problem that won’t exist...

1) if we’re in the premier league or championship there won’t be swathes Of empty seats (Possibly no empty seats) so not an issue

2) If we were to drop back down to league one we’d rarely be on tv anyway as they show very few games therefore not an issue

If every seat is full, why are coloured seats an issue?

It looks brilliant. Should we gain promotion and retain our new found status where would we look to expand? I remember talk of building over the railway to realise a larger capacity.

It's not for Brentford games, it's to make it attractive to other people to use it e.g women's euros where it will look better on television therefore creating another revenue stream for Brentford.

Going through this subject, again?!

It ain’t gonna happen. The foundations aren’t deep enough. End of story.

Is that right, genuinely not heard that before. That does make a little more sense then, thanks

We won’t be expanding ever. It’s been made clear.

The stand that was originally marked for potential expansion, its design/foundations were changed which means instead of adding on another area as and when, now means we’d have to knock down the whole stand to allow the extra seating, which would be too costly.

So there’ll never be an expansion.

The multi coloured seats were a master stroke. If next season is going to be behind closed doors we'll look great on MotD.
