I long for the good old days when the Southampton stewards used to boot you out prior to the game starting for being pissed on the concourse

Big dip in form recently. Definetly at least 1 needed in the window. Defensively we have been abysmal today but poor everywhere. JDS and Raya will be massive for us when they come back

Who is this w*kner on co comms on H-goal? He’s been irritating me all evening but he’s now praising Stuart Atwell for ‘great game’.

Yeah I've struggled with it. Not a clue who it is, maybe some random pub man given the mic for the night?

Chalk this one down to experience and move on - Wolves looks a big game now with the next 2 away games being damage limitation

A bad day at the office? Or a reality check?
Are we really as good as we think we are? Are we safe?
Too many players were off their game.
I think we should pick up enough points to see us through to a second season in the top flight, but it may be closer than we would like.
We move on.
I'm looking forward to some fresh blood coming into the starting line-up.

Didn't look at it from the off tonight. It happens. Poor defending? Yes but of concern is the number of times they failed to control the ball in tight situations tonight.

His agent put a nice youtube package together is all I can think
Yeah, that’s how we do our recruitment.
Thank God for the diehard optimists on here. Without them it would be a depressing place to be....

We are sat mid table half way through the season needing 3 wins to stay up, diehard optimists = realists, anyone who doesn’t see the fantastic position we are in is a miserable unwanted **** IMO .

Vile. Wishing injury on a Brentford player.

I'm really pissed with that performance. Canos I would seriously give only a 2/10 for that performance and thats being generous. Out of position, dived in defending, woeful passes.

Stevens came on and we looked a lot more solid defensively

I’m going to summarise the next 10 pages right now:
  • Fernandez - sh*t
  • Roerslev - sh*t
  • Jansson - sh*t
  • Canos - sh*t
  • Toney - sh*t
  • We’ve played awfully for weeks and fluked some points
  • We need to sign several players for every position urgently in the transfer window
  • Frank out
  • We’re getting relegated
  • We got rid of the wrong DoF
  • Liverpool will score at least 8 on Sunday
If that’s all you’re going to say, don’t bother, it’s covered above.

Back in the real world, we’re still comfortable in mid table. We won’t get relegated and probably only need another 12 points to be mathematically certain.

They had to much pace and we fell for it start of second half. We were finally getting our passing going and bang done on the break.

They are both some way off yet.

Well, That was painful to watch, But after over 65 years of support I have actually seen us play worse, If that's any consolation to the Doom and Gloom mongers that will invade social media tonight with their usual drivel when we lose, They need to get some supporting years behind them first, You win some lose some, That's the plain facts.

Nothing. He’s done what’s he’s paid to do - referee a game. Not sure it warrants being called having a ‘great game’.
Attwell just pisses me off for some reason.
I’ve never forgiven him for sending off Nathan Elder. He swaggers through games as if he is the star turn.
In fact I think I actually might hate him.

Not sending Toney off. Clear second yellow. Got away with one there.

may last post tonight, I promise.

Sorry, rubbish, second was never a yellow in zillion years, he closed the bloke down and minimal contact, ref got it spot on,

I understand the sentiments, but surely this sentence just shouldn't be a thing?

How on earth anyone can say we won't get relegated is beyond me. Performance tonight is irrelevant in me saying that also, even when we've looked good against better teams I've not once thought "well that's us safe". Pure naivety.

That’ll take a few days to get over that one. And next comes Liverpool….

A tough watch that. Going 1 down in 5 didn’t help us. Southampton played well in front of their new owner. That makes a difference. Pontus had a shocker but he will come back from that.

I think Alvaro might be dropped. Harsh to blame him for the defeat but I feel he doesn’t exhibit much confidence. He perhaps should have come for the corner and is slow of his line.

Given the dross officiating we've had for most of the season thus far, I think he actually had a good game...could have easily sent Toney off, but clearly understood it was frustration boiling over.

Poor performance all round, too many players not at it, but when you have 6 or 7 together off their game it is very difficult. Think we will be active in the January window bringing in 3 or 4 in my opinion.
