Half of the weekend's game are now off. Wonder how long those other 5 will last. I think TF's earlier request may end up being fulfilled by default!

No word or direction yet from the FA/PL yet on the increased calling off of games? I say just let this farce continue.....

Southampton v Brentford, Watford v Crystal Palace and West Ham United v Norwich City and Everton v Leicester at the weekend are cancelled.

And Virgil van Dijk and Gareth Bale have covid if you are into that type of thing.

....I don't think anything he said has created a default scenario....I think he and his advisors knew exactly what impact his little chat with the media would create.

EFL Cup has 7 PL teams in it. If they don't want to play PL fixtures they sure as hell won't be playing EFL Cup fixtures, no matter what criteria the EFL have dreamt up for EFL teams.

Which players have actually contracted the virus?
Heard rumours of Henry and Fernández, but who else apart from pinnock also?

Firstly, I didn't have tickets for this game but know some whom were really looking forward to this away day. It is gutting for them and I feel for them especially those whom have planned a weekend away last week before Xmas but looking at the bigger picture, it is entirely the right decision.

..... apologies....see what you're saying now and I agree with it.....and all I meant by my comment....his talking with the media was directly instrumental in creating postponements.....and not just ours.

It sucks but the prudent decision at this time. Just hate it for those who bought tickets and really wanted to make the trek to see us.

I would have had to give it a miss Saturday as I am on a self isolation thing till Christmas Eve.
It has done me a favour, but hasn't made me feel any better.

Non refundable train tickets to the tune of £50 for two of us down the drain.
Bought them before the latest variant so didn't do the insurance option as, up until Burnley v Spurs, the premier didn't seem to entertain the idea of postponement.

I was in the same boat mate however they did allow me to change day/time with no extra cost. I know it is random but I just changed my tickets to some weekend in March with the option of changing them again still open; at least until the end of the year so I hope the re arranged Southamption date is annouced soon so I can change tickets again for that game. At least this way I have a chance of using the tickets at some stage but giving me a voucher would have made more sense in the circumstances.

I am thinking of going to AFC Wimbledon versus Portsmouth. See what their new stadium is like.

Try somewhere else unless you just fancy sneaking in and having a look around an empty stadium.

I wouldn't plan a game until at least 1230 Saturday

At least this one has away team travelling miles so any Testing should have been done on Friday ?

I have been able to get vouchers off train companies for non-refundable tickets three times in the last 12 months by direct messaging through Twitter and explaining my situation. A few of the operators are being reasonable and flexible because of Covid. LNER are particularly good.
