Do you think they've forgotten the day we lost them the title, although them being Non league now that is probably far from their minds.

Perhaps they could organize a fund raising gig or two. I believe they had a couple many years ago. Not sure how my many of these bands would be around now.

Lost 3-2 at home to Aldershot, who had lost their first five games.

Amazing to think that Southend were second and Aldershot fifth, when we gained promotion from the old Fourth Division in 1978.

Also amazing that until 2019 they’d had more postwar seasons in the second tier than we had!
