A quick mention for Alan Judge. I know it was against lesser opposition, but I thought he was showing glimpses of his best, and it was certainly the most consistent and influential performance since coming back. Lasted 90 mins ( for the first time?) and captain on the night. Unlucky not to score/ create several opportunities. Hopefully his best is not too far away now.

I agree and in particular the last 30 minutes he was really starting to buzz around the pitch and dominate passages of play like he used to. Encouraging signs, particularly given at half time i made a comment about him seeming to lack the burst of pace he used to have.

My 88 year old man came to the match with me and at half time, as he watched our subs kick about, asked me if he, pointing at Jack Bonham, was Daniel Bentley. No, I said, “he’s Daniel Bentley”, who at that very moment walked in front of us and sat down in the row in front with his mates to watch the game. Timing was perfect.
