There are no football grounds in England with a pub on every corner.
Man, you're on fire. It's only through you that this thread is able to hold on by its fingernails. Just out of interest, could you tell our viewers if there are any football grounds with pubs on three of their corners? Tricorn coverage, as it were.

I've been there before. New threads, gasping for breath. But I will try and help you to keep it alive. Timing is everything I find. You should never start a thread of such trivia on a matchday.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know Bury doesn't/didn't as it reminds me of a game against them years ago. Something that I still find funny to this day, even though it probably isn't, particularly. I was standing outside on Braemar Road, drinking heavily before the game (actually I can't be sure of that, it may have started), when a know it all Bury supporter walked past with his lady wife. Having just walked past the Griffin, he said to her (and please imagine a Buryshire accent here), "I'll tell you something you didn't know lass. This is the only ground in't country that's got a pub on the corner".

I still don't know why I found this funny, but I still do.

Slabheaded lump Harry Maguire has scored more goals in World Cup knockout games than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

Pakistan, who have never qualified for a major competition like the World Cup, or the Euros or stuff, play to home crowds of just 1,500 - 2,500. FIFA rank them 200th in world which is pretty low, considering there are only 195 countries. With a population of 212 million, it's almost as if they don't like the game. And yet they produce 80% of the world's footballs.

Mazz I have to say it's highly unlikely that Pakistan will ever qualify for the Euros

Had several players playing in Denmark and a couple in Non League in England, in the squad for their last World Cup Qualifiers.

Under Martin Allen we made the play offs with a negative goal difference

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we won the division to get promoted to what is now the Championship in 92 having lost 12 games. Must be some sort of record.

Pretty much all attendances from Non-League Step 3 down!

Interestingly, FC United of Manchester and a few others have complained the restrictions are hitting them financially, as their averages are normally much higher than 600, however I think most teams at these levels are lapping it up.

Walthamstow had over 200 for an Essex Senior League 2 weeks running, something they haven't seen for many decades!

Despite Cuba winning the baseball world cup 25 times, no Cuban club has come anywhere near winning the World (sic) Series.

U.S. teams won the World Series an astonishing 87 consecutive years from 1905 to 1991.
Canada comes a distant second, the Blue Jays winning it a paltry 2 consecutive years (1992 and 1993).

I once saw a football match where the last two kicks of the game each resulted in a goal. No penalty shoot-outs, regular goals.

U.D. Cazorla were winning about 9-0 when the other team scored a consolation goal, so our centre forward just booted the kick off as hard as he could. The keeper ill-advisedly put a hand out and palmed it into the net. The ref gave the goal and then blew the final whistle.

Two of yesterday’s Scottish matches gave no indication of the towns represented:
Queen of the South v Raith Rovers and
Queens Park v Albion Rovers.

Also, two Queens v two Rovers.

But... but... 5-2! Surely there must have been dancing in the streets of Raith?

A goal kick from Harrow Borough FC
Deja vu again for Hampton and Richmond. Drawn at home against Oldham Ath in FAC1....The same as in 2018...
The spooky part is that they had beaten Hornchurch in that cup run, and also in this one! It’s as if someone’s forgotten to turn some pages in the Grand Plan....
