At least money didn't have to change hands for that one. I am slightly surprised there hasn't been a "Would you be interested in..." type email a few weeks ago followed by the real thing once they had an idea of demand. Would have been easier to handle that way
Yes but you are disregarding the well-established Brentford Law: "Whatever is the least effort for us is the best outcome, regardless of other impacts"

Otherwise translated as, "the sh*tty system we bought can't do that so that involves lots of manual work"

How hard can it be:
  1. Send out email inviting interest for this with an electronic form to be completed
  2. Basic software picks out 195 random emails plus x number of reserve emails
  3. These 195 people are asked to confirm place and pay money by x date
  4. Any places not filled are offered to the next people on the list etc until all places filled.

Hope the beam back is more successful than my ifollow experience last night. 90 minutes of revolving white circle, rebooting and changing between phone, laptop and pc. All to no avail.

It's using a dedicated broadcast feed from Stockley Park. The people who provide VAR.

I thought someone posted that as a joke.
Well you certainly have to stay at your table, as this is a hospitality event with food/drink where there happens to be a TV with some football on.

Seems like the beam back option could be against the local lockdown rules.

Today’s could be the first and last?

It may depend on LBH and if the lounges were designated for use as restaurants outside match day.

You can pay £10 to iFollow. They don’t yet have a box to click to confirm cleanliness.

Did anyone on here attend yesterday? If so, what’s the feedback? Food? Distancing? Were people who went alone sitting at a table for one?Was there shouting, singing, etc? What was/were the lounge(s) like?
Anything interesting to report?

To quote L. P. Hartley's opening line in The Go Between: The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there. A remarkable study on being English.

Ignore this please, chap count and cider prices are the important details.

What a stupid way of prioritising. So if you just happened to be reading your email at that time then you got a spot. Great, absolutely brilliant.
Think its called first come first served...universally accepted as a fair way of doing things :)

Looks like anyone who went is too embarrassed to admit it. 😲

I didn't go as it's not my cup of tea, but I don't see the problem with anyone going if they chose to.

If someone wants to pay 40 quid to go that's their business. No different to anyone spending a lot of money on something that others might consider a waste of money, very much a case of each to their own IMO.

To be fair the chicken burger was hopefully way more enjoyable than the first half yesterday 😂

Just had a call from the club to book the screening against Luton on Saturday so thought I'd give it a go to have a nosey around the South Stand. Chicken curry is the food on offer this time!

There was cheering too.

I thought that wasn't allowed?
No one ever said you couldn't, people were just comparing to religious services etc.

Did the Luton beam back. It was nice getting out of the house on Sat & getting some footie action. Got an Uber & discovered best place to jump out on the A4 for new stadium going East. The lounge facility on 2nd floor is really good , service and food top drawer , although pie was more mince pie size & peroni at £5/bottle (x2 free) is quite steep. No draught London Pride yet (obvious reasons). Toilets like a plush hotel and very Covid friendly . I follow has is limits and the sound could have been better , lots of screens though, but a tad sterile . Good atmosphere when we scored and it looked a sellout (c 200 I think). Had a look out of window into the stadium (not allowed on balcony) , it’s defo nice and tight which is what we all want , and still quite like the seat colouring ! Alan Cockram was the legend , good to see him & he’s quite entertaining (giving free gifts to the birthday girl from the pop up shop with host looking surprised !) plus his memories of the Anfield q/f 89. My goody back had a key ring with grass from GP inside and a nice wallet pass . There was no hanging around at final whistle but managed to put my head into the dug out bar below on 1st floor which is part of the prem season ticket deal , it looks fantastic , similar to lounge but less tables so emphasis on stand up drinking . Made the Globe in 15mins (thought that was good, with crowds will take a bit longer), so see no reason to change that habit. Sammy S was in there In good spirits (my Mrs was jealous when I told her that !). All in all I thought for novelty it was well worth while and brought back a bit of Sat norm . It would be good to do again with a few mates whenever that is allowed. Sadly for those wanting to experience it this will be on hold for now with new lock down.
