If we do receive a bid that is too good to turn down for Henry, I wonder if we would take a look at Yasser Larouci. Highly thought of at Liverpool but only a year on his contract and wants more playing time.
Have seen links with him on twitter so sounds like someone we might be looking at..

Villa fans say, Benrahma and Watkins for 45m, and we get Davis and Jota as well.

What a nightmare deal that would be for all four players.

Davis is a young striker and target man who needs games and development but is not for us. As for Jota. Let’s not risk tarnishing his memory.

As the eternal optimist, I wonder what the seemingly special relationship between TF and Said could have in any decision making. Since the loss of his father, Said seems to have 'adopted' the gaffer.

But then again, after his recent somewhat selfish and non-productive games - would we prefer someone just as effective but not a show-boater?:fishing:

Ermmm.....Pass ?
The most gifted player I have ever seen at GP and, with that, also one of the most frustrating.

Take the dollar and move on. It's the Brentford way.

Likely to be priced out of that one. We were interested prior to his permanent move to Wigan, but now he’s worth significantly more.
At the risk of sounding like a Leeds fan, I think he has a clause in his contract and is available for about £1.5m. But there would be a lot of competition obviously.

Doubt it, he was on the brink of moving to Milan for about £10m in January

Speculation from other teams fans means nothing...there's always the same 4 or 5 names in for all of our players it seems.

Until a respected journalist says progress has been made, it will all be noise.

I would be gutted if Rico went. In my opinion the most consistent player over the course of the season. Yasser Larouci would definitely be a Brentford type signing though. However going back to Rico isn't he the only player in the first team squad that is considered Home grown by the club? (I could be wrong with that) If he was to leave is there anybody else in the squad that is considered home grown by club?? If there isn't just for that reason alone I could see Brentford reluctant to let Rico leave, plus already mentioned he signed a new deal with us not to long ago.

Davis has 4 goals in 65 games for Villa - from watching him he seems challenged to put a shot on target !!

Jota - you never go back !!

As you say NLB - nightmare all round !

they were offering Hogan in exchange last summer.. They've still no idea, along with those who think they'll get them at a 'bargain' price because we didn't go up..

2 weeks to pre-season training, hope these two (Ollie and Said) get their futures sorted within this time period. Not really bothered about their destinations as long as BF C get the best part of the deal. I reckon Said would love to be reunited with Maupay and am a bit surprised they would target Ollie. Imagine next season Brighton having all three, their own BMW smashing the goals in.

I love it when opposition clubs pick their sh*ttest players and think we'd be interested in them as part of a deal.

Maybe we could do £35m and John McGinn?

There seems to be a confusion between home grown and club developed. One club developed player is required in a match day squad, a player registered to the club before the end of his U-19 season.

The window for transfers remains open till 16th. October. They could play a couple of games for us next season and still move on elsewhere. I don't understand the timings of the windows but then just look at the organising companies behind it.

I am going to close this thread as we now have a entire new forum to discuss transfers in this window.
