According to Sabah's report, Brentford, who holds Halil's testimonial, also closely follows Kerem. The Premier League team wants to transfer Kerem for the end of the season and knocked on Galatasaray's door.

Galatasaray, which is not expected to receive Halil Dervişoğlu's testimonial after Fatih Terim, will not make an offer to Brentford. Therefore, Halil will also return.

There is a chance we will be in the Championship and that would rule us out from pursuing certain players. Speculation on most specific targets is therefore a bit silly at this stage.

That said; I am sure there will be players we will be interested in regardless of what division we are in, but those won’t be the sort of £15m+ players we were linked with in January.

The more interesting topic at this juncture is what we do with the players we already have.

If we don’t survive then the following will be hard to keep a hold of; Raya, Pinnock, Henry, Nørgaard, Mbeumo, Toney.

If we do stay up, then the following might not be considered good enough to be a part of our squad next season; Roerslev, Thompson, Goode*, Bidstrup* Jensen, Ghoddos, Canos, Fosu, Forss*

*Depending on loan performances

Safe to say that the following players are already not be considered part of our plans moving forward; Balcombe, Jeanvier, Racic, Valencia, Dervisoglu

These players might not be here next season anyway; Lössl, Alvaro, Zanka, Eriksen

Then you have a number of younger players that are potentially on the verge or either stepping up or going out on loan; Cox, Stevens, Oyegoke, Peart-Harris, Maghoma, Young-Coombes

I sense with one more win (ideally next Sunday) Phil will be reevaluating our transfer targets for next season. Make no mistake we did try to strengthen our squad in the winter transfer window but proved difficult but I am sure TF will have a greater input into the areas we badly need strengthening in the squad. Would love if we are already having discussions with CE in extending for a year but realistically maybe won't happen until the end of the season.

What I will say is that the decision by the club to let a few players out on loan in the winter transfer window has proven correct. It was a good managed risk we were prepared to take.

We spent around 30 million last summer. I imagine this year we could well spend around 50 million, when you look at the value of players we were looking at in January. Very likely we will step up the quality of our targets, and now we’ve proven we can stay in this league (assuming there’s no late season collapse) fingers crossed more players will be willing to join.

Yes, without the promotion bonuses and with the guarantee of at least another season of PL money and a higher/longer load of parachute money, we should have a much bigger budget this summer. And we’ll need to spend it wisely to improve us substantially as well as hope that many of the players we have step on with a season’s PL experience and a full preseason. The concern, even more than if we get relegated, is how we deal with offers for our best players. Raya, Norgaard and Toney could all get big offers- if down, we’d be OK to accept and replace, if up, much harder and riskier either to reject or to accept and reinvest with immediate success.

I think we’re good for CBs if we move to 433 as we’ll have Pontus, Ajer, Pinnock, MBS and if renewed, Zanka, maybe Goode too.

I'd like to bed a new CB in as PJ is going to more than likely leave next summer. I know he is the captain but long term we need a younger pacier version of him as no doubt we will play 352 in some of the harder games to try and contain.

Nope he is our best CB - would have him and Ethan in a 4 and a new CB/PJ in a 5 when we need to frustrate the top sides. I am thinking medium term as PJ won't be here past next season and Zanka is injury prone so we may not offer him a new deal

If we want to progress I'd say Goode will need to be sold and not convinced MBS has the pace for a Premier league defender as a first choice option

You’re probably right about Goode- it just didn’t work out for him due to whatever it was that made him unavailable for much of last season and the jump from his last regular football in L2 to the PL is just too much. Though he did step up when needed to do a job. I hope his loan at Sheffield U works out for him, he seems a likeable and committed player.

I can see us going to 20m if the right player is available - reckon circa 60m in incoming and a few players leaving bringing in 15-20m

He seems to have fallen out of favour there a bit so the offer of regular starts may help swing it, particularly if our final position and summer recruitment suggests we’ll again not be in a big relegation struggle.

Not sure that picking up players from relegated teams is the best strategy. They are relegated for a reason. There was a player a few years back , Grant McCann maybe, that seemed to play for a relegated team every year!

I am not convinced by Aarons. Touted for a big move for a couple of years now but I don’t see what others see in him.

Would much rather Williams, who looks like a full back with extras, although he may have a future at Man Utd

We bought him when in the Championship, I think that is his level. We need better and think the management team know this, hence the loan.

By the time next season starts he’ll be 27, he’s not a Premier League player, Championship is his level.
