Just back cracking support great second half with a few hairy moments at the end but we were very much in control second half after a pretty poor first half,Great display by Harry when he came on went past them for fun will let others post more comprehensive reports need to pour myself a large glass.Well Done Uwe and tha team.

We were pretty comfortable for the first half, let them into the game last 10mins of first half and Moore made two very good saves.
Craig was solid at the back.
Harry was superb in the second half.
Clayton scored an absolute beauty, lashed it home with his left foot.
Di Canio is a ****
A massive win and the away support was very good.
£25 was well worth it :sorted:

First 15 minutes we passed Swindon to death without causing them any problems.

Had 3 corners and a free kick and they were all poorly executed.

Last 10 minutes Swindon woke up, we went to sleep and they would've gone in 2-0 up if it wasn't for 2 excellent saves from Moore. The second was a top class one handed save.

Second half we attacked with purpose and a long ball was glanced on by Hayes for Donaldson to take a touch and then blast past the keeper.

Swindon didn't look at all dangerous and I'm unsure how they are above us in the table. Barron played a solid 70 mins before he was replaced by Forrester who really livened things up with his close control and tricks. Maybe he just needed a rest! Hayes missed when clean through and was hooked by Saunders who looked up for it. He had a free kick deflected over and held on to the ball well.

Last 5 mins or so and Swindon threw everything at us but only had a header that whistled past the post to show for it.

5 mins of time added on and a couple of bookings for time wasting and we were home and dry.

All in all and solid but unspectacular performance but I like the way we rarely look like losing this season and I haven't felt like that for a long time. Lots of confidence throughout our side, particularly from the defence and central midfield. Uwe got it right today with his starting line up and subs but I think we'll need a bit more creativity against Sheff Utd.

Bring on the Blades!

Totally agree, we never look like losing a game, if we don't win then we will fight for a point. When we don't play as well as we can we still fight and work hard.

Di Canio running on the pitch and kicking the ball at Uwe. Should have been sent to the stands, what a ******.

Great finish but from my miles away looking point, I was sure he'd be given offside. Craig was immense, Dean was solid, Moore made 2 vital saves and half time came just when we needed it, Bidwell coped well with Ritchie. Clayton was pants on the right wing but switched sides and looked on the ball, he never stopped working, Douglas' early yellow made him have to tread carefully but he did his bit, Forshaw worked his nads off, Hayes did a bit of this and bit of nothing, nice flick for the goal and what a chance to finish them. Barron was rubbish, he contributed zilch, Harry came on and basically took the piss, had he shot and scored after that run, I reckon I'd be talking about the greatest ever Bees goal. A season shaping result, we'll see?

A great result from an unspectacular performance, just the kind of games we need to be taking points from.

I thought both teams were poor in the first half, we set up with a 4-2-3-1 with Hayes up top and Clayton on the right. The formation seemed to work in terms of Swindon struggling to get into the game butwe kept giving the ball away, Forshaw in particular, and didn't make use of the ball in their half. We were still the better of two poor sides and other than some pressure in the last 5 minutes they didn't threaten at all.

We came out in the second half with a lot more purpose and were the better team. Soon into the half we switched to a 4-4-2 and Hayes flicked a ball on the Clayton who smashed home in style. Despite a minor fight back by Swindon we maintained control and made good substitutions with Harry and Sam coming on to maintain posession and force home our advantage. We should have gone 2 up when Hayes was put through in miles of space but tried to be clever and was tackled.

We closed the game out well and Swindon only had a couple of corners, one header from Martin should have been a goal but he put it wide. I have to say I thought Swindon were awful! I was expecting a real threat from their flanks which never materialised. Richtie and Roberts were poor and their delivery never really caused problems. This takes nothing away from the Bees as we still had to despatch them, which we have struggled to do all season, but I was surprised Swindon offered so little!

Fantastic few days with 4 points from two tough games without setting the world alight performance wise. With Douggie out on Saturday I hope we moved Forshaw inside and play Sammy and Harry, really taking the game to them. A win on Saturday and we really will have laid down a marker for the season. COYR!!!

On last point.... Harry was immense when he came on, his ability to go past/through and group of players with the ball at his feet is unbelievable at times.... give the man a contract quickly!!

After the critisism of Uwe for sitting back and defending leads away, today he moved to 442 from the start of the second half, got the goal and stayed at 442 and even brought Harry on for Barron to keep up the pressure. Hayes should have done better when we broke to extend the lead.

The players did brilliantly and fought the whole match but hats off to Uwe for a more positive approach to the second half especially when we took the lead

Cackling support and a good night to be a Bee - think we are going places and this run including two good away wins should give us confidence to push on.

We started the game well, but as the half wore on Swindon started getting more & more into the game. Especially from Corners , as we had our usual quoto of all eleven players defending they were usiing their two full backs to great effect depending on which side the corner was taken and it seemed only a matter of time before they scored. Half time could not come quick enough for me. Special mention to Simon Moore for keeping us in iy with a couple of good saves. Second half came and Swindon looked second best, Each Bees player to a man played their socks off. Clayton got the ball and smacked it, back of the net my son. Special performances for me were JD (ouality) some bees fans on here do not seem to realise the work this guy puts in Dave, Clayton and Simon Moore. Swidon threatened On only a few occasions, the closest they got was a Chris martin header that should have hit the net but somehow went wide. Make no mistake we may have something special with this team, no big time Charlies. The management team and players alike as well as the fans are all in this together. Great support fromthe fans, with songs like Save Mark Hughes my lord save mark Hughes, and Mark Hughes is a Brentford fan, and I won't write the lyrics about Di Canio. Great evening out , three points. and get down to gp on sat to cheer the boys on. COYR

Two good points I missed.... Moore mde several great saves when we were under pressure at the end of the first half and Barron was poor, he really offers nothing for me and when he gets the ball in an attacking position he never looks threatening! I guess he was their to support Jake against Rithcie which he may have done, but I think we would have benefitted far more from Harry tearing them a new one for 70 mins!

We seemed to want to give the ball away all the first half and it didn't stick up front but it took Swindon 35 minutes to mount some pressure, which we defended well with Moore making a couple of decent saves. Half time and we upped our game while Swindon appeared to just get disorganised. We never looked like scoring, though, until Hayes held the ball and tempted their defenders to come to him, leaving Donaldson unmarked. A neat flick on to Clayton and he buried our only clear-cut chance. A few scary moments but Swindon seemed to get worse and worse and we defended better and better. Forrester replaced Barron, who was unspectacular but did a job, Saunders came on for Hayes, who had done his job unspectacularly, and Harry upped the tempo and got us playing further forward while Sam took some free kicks.

Very pleasing to see that we can see out a game one goal to the good without causing too many heart-stopping moments. Oh, and the guy behind me spent the whole time cursing Toumani.

Just seen the goal on SSN, Clayton looks level with their CB playing him on..... fantastic finish with his first touch! Classic Clayton, not long too think about it so smashes it away... a couple more seconds and he would have fluffed it! ;)

Just seen the goal as well, Brilliant!!

Top Result, well done tonight, a brilliant time for us all, Uwe is making all the right calls on the team selections and subs, and the players are responding, it all appears to be coming together nicely at last, and we are getting harder and harder to beat, let’s hope we can keep this momentum going for Saturday with our biggest gate of the season.

In contrast, I listened to Paolo Di Canio for 15mins on the Swindon Player after the game, apart from him saying some of his players were “Mental” and “Rubbish” I couldn’t understand what on earth he was on about for the whole time he spoke, the man’s barking mad!!!, thank god we have a Uwe as our manager

Did anyone listen to BBC Wilts afterwards? PdC rambling like a drunk for 20 minutes; goodness knows what he was going on about but it seems the players are at fault and he want to replace them but can't but a loss is not bad because they're still only a couple of points off automatic promotion. How do any of their supporters put up with that clap-trap? He sounded like AS on Mogadon.

Another really enjoyable tuesday night away trip.
Made Swindon look VERY ordinary and in fact I thought Portsmouth the other week caused us more problems - thats taking nothing away from a real hard working performance from Brentford who were immense in the second half.

Where as Ive been a critic of Uwe's tactics, tonight he got it right, two up front so much more effective.
Substitutions were excellent too - just when we needed fresh legs Saunders and Forrester ran their b***ocks off.

Brilliant goal, Hayes didn't do a lot all game but his flick on header for Donaldson to smash home was sublime.

We defended and pushed Swindon back in the last nailbiting twenty odd minutes superbly.

Special mention for Moore who was immense again after receiving a lot of phsical abuse which went unpunished.

Bees fans sung all game - excellent atmosphere, looked at least 800 there.

The thieving bastards charged us £25 to get in, daylight robbery unlike our performance - don't let anyone tell you ours was a smash and grab - we were by far the better team.

Two great results in a week We are Norwich saw off the Fascist EDL with a massive (for Norwich) demo and then super Bees shame a Fascist manager. I'm afraid the racist abuse is a result of the encouragement racists get from Dicanio's Fascist presence. Sooner he goes the better. COYR

a not very good Brentford side did a job on them.. arseholes

To give balance, 1 poster said that. The majority showed grudging respect, thought we put in a good away performance and earned the result.

PdC was the last man to leave the pitch after he applauded his fans, he got some almighty stick from a noisy away end, he would have heard every word and it would have made my night to see the madman react, sadly he remained outwardly calm and went done the tunnel.

Just got back in lol. Still buzzing!! Bit of a nothing first half with them having their best spell in the last 10 minutes and Simon Moore keeping us in the game with a couple of great saves. Was a tad worried with their short corners and our zonal marking. Half-time couldn't come quickly enough but second half we dominated proceedings and did a proverbial "job" on them. Thought Swine were disappointing and we made them look very ordinary. A well taken goal by Donaldhino and a very good away performance with a fully deserved 3 points. Bragging rights here today and cannot stop smiling. Fabulous evening and worth every penny!! Come on you Bees!!

Great night last night! Will hold my hands up as I'm a sell out! I watched the game from swindons hospitality lounge, sponsoring the game for my nan who passed away recently who was a bee but lived in Swindon! Great performance from the boys really solid throughout the team! Had to hold on in the 1st half but they all did their job and I think deservedly tool the points home or our faultless defending display! Loved hearing comments all around me of "these are sh*t" " worst team we've seen here" nothing better than jumping up when clayton scored to shut the whole area up! Great night. first time I've not been able to sing with my fellow bees absolute credit non stop singing all game, fantastic support "a little" club we really are the 12th man! Highlight of the night bees in full voice and joining in with them and singing out loud and proud with the rest of the bees as the executive area very quickly and quietly ****ed off! Bring on Saturday

Up the bees

Yes. I could clearly hear that on the radio commentary. I thought a witches' coven had set up in the away end.

I thought you did well last night. Rosler deserves credit for how he set you up without the ball, made you difficult to play through and how organised you were. No real surprise that the goal came through a defensive error.

On chances created I thought we could have taken a point. Your keeper made a couple of good save in the few minutes before half time and you cleared one off the line, and Chris Martin should have buried his header at the end.

Bizzare that our home form is a bit pants, mainly due to team coming and flooding the midfield where as away from home we seem to excel with the extra space when the emphasis is on the home team to come out and play.

A strange set of results last night. It just underlines my opinion that any one team is unlikely to run away with the division and if a team manages to put together a run of 10 or games unbeaten post xmas, they will go close.

I didn't see the goal as an error, it looked like a decent ball, very good flick, a well judged run and a brilliant finish. I suppose it depends on which team you support.
Ferry normally plays well against us but was poor last night, I was happy but sorry to see Bostock look so ordinary as he was a real talent on loan to us, McEveley had a good first half and had Clayton in his pocket, Martin fell over like a player who has been taught by Premiership coaches, Roberts was amazingly quiet for a normally busy baastard. We've got good individuals in our squad and I think the past few weeks are showing that we have a team that is forming well.

The bizarre thing is that yesterday was the one away game that we didn't set up with 5 in midfield... we just played quite badly in the first half so it is down to the Swindon team, I'm afraid.

Just read the P'Dick post match reaction. See the bit about scribbling down the names of three players he thought would not perform for him on the night? I think Alex Ferguson was credited as doing something like that then recently Brendan Rogers I think. In the hands of a good manager as a thing to do it sounds mercurial. In the hands of a duff manager it sounds like you are a dobbin.

The young full back was caught on the wrong side of Donaldson allowing him the yard or so he needed to get one on one.

can I just say the spirit of the whole team, when the eleven came out for the second half, the subs to a man gave hugs and encouragement to them, great spirit.

Still buzzing after last night's win. Something like 1 defeat in 15 games now which cannot be a coincidence. We finally look like a team which is really hard to beat as well as playing decent football It is ironic that the last 3 away games we have not played as well as in some of the away games earlier in the season yet have managed to pick up 7 points. It is the win ugly factor which we seem to have learned which is a credit to Uwe's tactics and our young squad.

''We were truly awful last night. Brentford did a job but it was in the style that they apparently play every week, home and away; Soul destroying, negative football whose sole mantra is to stop the opposition playing at all costs. Truly horrible.
I would rather the type of football that Paulo wants any day of the week.

It was a great night, great support, and 100% deserved three points. Good man Rosler,
(especially for not going all defensive second half )

It does seem strange that Swindon fans, a) think that play great football which, based on last night, is utter tosh and that, b) somehow they should get an automatic promotion place and they will lose some anyway. Very odd. I thought it was only Leeds fans that had these delusions.

It does seem strange that Swindon fans, a) think that play great football which, based on last night, is utter tosh and that, b) somehow they should get an automatic promotion place and they will lose some anyway. Very odd. I thought it was only Leeds fans that had these delusions.

They must have had a bad night then because I thought they looked very ordinary - the game was a bit like the Portsmouth away one.
That's not taking anything away from us but I thought we were by far the better side and bossed it.
