If the match was played tomorrow, we could name almost an entire "unavailable XI"

Kev-Gayle-Dobbo-Framps
Brooker-Skulason-Pratley-Tabby
-----Fitz---Rhodes-----

As it is, to make life a bit easier, I expect Kev & Brooker to have done puking by Saturday.....

----------Nelson----------
Kev---Sodje---Turner---Tillen
Rankin--Newman--Hutch--Brooker
------Owusu---DJ------

Subs: George, Mousinho, Peters, Lewis, Charles

Not the most defensively solid looking XI, I would be much happier if Marcus Gayle were also available. I just hope we can outscore Stockport, in what will be another tricky away Cup tie.

You expect Brooker to be left out

Would be a very unusual occurance.

I reckon Brooker will be in for Tabb and O'Connor for Mousinho compared to yesterday. I also think Gayle will replace Rankin if he is fit to do so.

I was told earlier today that Brooker needs a hernia op. and shouldn't be playing.
This was an excuse for the poor display at Colchester.

I agree, he shouldn't be playing in a game we can win without him

Would agree with WEB that Gayle for Rankin would be preferable if Marcus is fit, Tillen scares me defensively, Marcus covering him would be great.

Also don't expect Brooker to have his hernia op until we have cover later in the season or even at season end.

IMHO with a new manager, we underestimate Stockport at our peril. We certainly need our best XI for what is a vital match for both sides, the 4th Round will be full of Premiership sides, it'll be like shooting fish in a barrel!
What's more Sir Steve Perryman will be making the 4th Round draw, if we can scrape through, we may even get a plum tie for a change.....

He needs a Hernia operation this will be done when Rhodes gets back,( this has been delayed ) give him a chance.Playing with this problem and second highest assists means he can't be too bad, can he

Why not? almost the normal back 4 with an additional defensive player in midfield.

I assume none of those who want Rankin in the side were at Bradford.

Not sure anyone WANTS him in the side, just that there's not a lot of choice if Tabb, Gayle, Brooker are out.. :(

Theres always a choice. Peters, Watts, you could name just about anyone that would put more effort in that he does.

Unless he loses about 1.5 stone he should not be in the team.

If MA reckons he's fit enough to play, he should be in. The game is too important financially for us to leave out players because we think it should be relatively easy. Missing Brooker alone wouldn't worry me, but with Tabb, Pratley, Rhodes, Skulason and Frampton also missing we should play whatever MA thinks is the strongest available team.

well frampo may be back and fitz is back in the squad so the team may look like

Nelson
Oconnor sodje turner tillien/frampo
Brooker hutchinson newman peters
dj owusu

subs
bankole, frampo/tillien, watts, rankin, fitz

Although very unlikely frampo will be in first 11 though maybe final 16
