Don't see any reason to change from last game, unless it's to give Canos a start or Moses a start. I would continue with Bentley, his confidence is returning. I know Josh DaSilva could do but I would rather try a win the game early and then give game time to younger players or rest key ones for the next league game.

Bentley
Konsa JJ Barbet
Moses Sawyers Moko Henry
Canos Maupay Benrahma
Subs:
Daniels
Watkins
DaSilva
Maceachren
Racic
Hardy
Dalsgaard

Lets not under estimate Barnet, they had a cracking win in the last round, start with a strong line up, get infront before we rest players

...i'd start with Sawyers Mojo Maupay Watkins Said...hit them hard.....go 3 up before HT....job done...bring on subs to shut game down...and not the other way round....having them come off the bench in a salvage a draw type scenario...this is a big game for all types of reasons...in the context of this season.

Aren't the B team players off to Portugal soon ?
Slavia Prague - not sure where - 28 Jan

Aarhus - Portugal - 31 Jan

Some B team players may well be kept back to bolster the FA Cup squad.

Strongest possible first XI, with the likes of Ogbene and Forss ready to step in if we take a commanding lead with 30 mins remaining.

No reason not to play a full strength lineup here. If we're not in a position to now, then we will never be in one.

Maybe Canos in, but I don't see the reason to make any other changes.

Frank mentions changes, the only one I’d be happy with is Moses for Henrik. Let’s not **** around

Quite. If we don’t think we’re going down and we certainly don’t look like we’re going up, let’s have a proper go at this please.

You think it’ll be the same? No chance.

I’d like it to be the same but Frank mentions maybe a few changes so probably not. Will be a lot closer than your team though, you’d have to be absolutely flipping mental to change formation now.

Short straw with Barnet referee Andrew Madley. (expect controversy) His Brother is a much better referee.

Strongest posible team. I can accept one or two changes, but not wholesale. The cup offers us the chance to make something of a disappointing season. The promotion/play off ship has long since sailed and the threat of relegation is slowly disappearing. Win this, get lucky in the next round draw and suddenly we are looking at the quarter final.

You mean Onen, the 17 yr old attacking midfielder/winger who's barely played 3 games for the B team?
Yes because Josh was never the answer, and will be gone in a few months at least Onen will put a bit of effort in if required, after all the positions
were only on the bench, I think TF has finally given up on josh after substituting him at half time recently.

:imwith:

Away from home, on tv and the Fourth Round = full strength side.

Good god no, expect Watkins to lead the line. Hopefully a goal or two will do his confidence the world of good.
If we're not going to play Maupay, then I'd rather we give Forss his chance to show he's a good potential replacement for him, than continually trying to shoehorn Watkins in there, with little evidence it suits him so far.

We are still a work in progress. Play the normal front three. Play Bentley. Maybe start Moses. Start Dasilva if Kamo needs a break. Otherwise same team please.

I'd agree that Watkins is much better coming in from wide. But his performances since the Oxford game have been much better, He needs to continue that run, and maybe grab a goal or two.

TF has said there will be a few changes so I'd expect something similar to the line-up in the last round. Given what a slog that became we could find ourselves in a bit of difficulty if they pick up an early head of steam.

Daniels comes in as it's the cup, Josh gets a chance playing as one of the two in front of the back three, comes in for Romaine who we don't need in the shop window. Moses and Sergi rotated in.

A big no to resting Romaine from me.

At least we can all agree that Frank is going to put a strong side out, wonder the state of the team Dean Smith would be putting it at this point....

DS is not stupid. He’d do the same as TF. The next round means extra media exposure.

he's hardly 'given up on him' he started at Birmingham and against Oxford and came on against Norwich. I expect he'll have some involvement on Monday as we'll need him for the rest of the season unless we bring another midfielder in. Onen is no way near the first team, that's just bonkers!

Inclined to agree that we should start our strongest available XI for this. We'll have had a 9 day rest since Rotherham and we'll still have a further 5 days until our next fixture.

It's our best chance to get to the 5th round for 13 years, we can't be taking anything for granted.

If we go comfortably ahead, then we can start taking off the likes of Maupay, Sawyers etc

He's just the current scapegoat and everything is down to him not playing rather than:
- A formation change to five at the back to help us stop conceding so many goals
- An experienced centre back coming in to steady the younguns (Jeanvier)
- Mokotjo coming back and providing the mobility we needed all season in midfield
- A Premier League level left back coming back into the side (Henry)
- Benrahma looking even better when combined with Henry as teams can't cope with both running at them and overlapping

That's what made us better and he would have benefited from this as much as anyone.

Downside is if he leaves at the end the season a new scapegoat will be needed. I imagine Dalsgaard better prepare his tin hat!

The form of Sawyers has gone up a bit as well don’t you think?

I think he benefits from all I listed in the same way McE would (but let's not have a Sawyers debate for the benefit of everyone).
