For me it really depends on the result tonight. West Brom don’t win we play the same starting line up as Wednesday except Josh replacing Jensen.

If West Brom win then we need to be realistic that WB will beat QPR so I would rest half the team.

A tough call I know. I’m sure others will disagree.

There will be a reasonable gap between Barnsley and the playoffs for resting up should we require them.

3/4 days is not a reasonable gap in my eyes. Just think we need to cover all bases and all circumstances. The only alternative option is play full strength team tomorrow and if Barnsley get relegated then rest players for that game.

Play-offs are all about momentum, select a team to win, playing the way we play. Rotate from a winning position, not a starting one.

Even if West Brom beat Huddersfield, with our chances resting on an upset in the WBA vs QPR game, we have to take that chance and go all out for a win against Barnsley. Only a worst-case scenario - Stoke beat us and WBA beat QPR would justify us resting players against Barnsley.

And even in that case, if Barnsley are still in with a chance of avoiding the drop, we owe it to their rivals to play our best formation. We'd expect as much if the positions were reversed.

Strongest available line-up please, not just against Stoke but against Barnsley too. My choice:

Reya: Dalsgaard, Jansson, Pinnock, Henry; Marcondes, Norgaard, DaSilva; Mbuemo, Watkins, Benrahma.

No way will we not play our strongest team while there's still a chance of automatic. Josh starts for Matthias

This.
(Although I think you meant "WBA beat Huddersfield" (Not QPR) as the WBA v QPR game is the same day we play Barnsley....).
Just imagine if we rested a load v Barnsley, drew, and the RaRas beat WBA..........

Raya, Dalsgaard, Jansson, Pinnock, Henry, Norgaard, Marcondes, DaSilva, Benhrama, Watkins, Fosu.

Subs: Daniels, Roerslev, Jeanvier, Jensen, Canos, Mbuemo, Zamburek, Valencia, Halil

Mbuemo is struggling a little, I think it might be easier for him to regain his form by coming on at 60 against more tired legs. Get a little confidence back. Fosu deputised perfectly well earlier though it could just as easily be Valencia out there..

We know what the core eleven are. The Huddersfield result certainly reduces the need for changes to the starting line-up. Will there be nerves? I’m nervously ecstatic.

.......i have no idea how our players will respond to having top flight football in their grasp.....i just hope they play the same football we've seen them play over the past few weeks.......stoke will want to win just like Huddersfield did......promotion is in our hands but stoke wont roll over.

I think this is our strongest team, and I believe it will be the one that starts against Stoke.

I think they will take it in their stride. They are all good enough to play in the PL and this is the biggest opportunity in their careers so far.

I reckon the lads have done a great job since lockdown. Give ‘em a well earned rest. Put the B team out and let them show what they can do...:fishing:
