Terrible scheduling by the EFL given QPR have a 7pm KO at home t'row and we'll not got back until Wednesday early hrs......imo should never have been a Friday night game given the ridiculous schedule of fixtures this autumn.

PS....TF can't use that as an excuse if we get pumped by that lot on Friday night btw.
Dont even want to think about that.

FYI - scheduling by Sky rather than the EFL

I would try him left wing, cutting in.
It seems quite a popular idea but I don't think he has the pace for it tbh. I would play the same set of players but with EM more central and JDS drifting left.

think that would work, EM at least gives us movement off the ball and an extra body getting into the box which we’ve been lacking for the last couple of games. All will come to nothing though if we stay as deep as we have last couple of games and don’t get players forward in support..

Yes that could work. Or have JDS and EM interchanging as JDS likes drifting wide anyway.

I dont think we need pace out there. Just someone who will do something with the ball and be an outlet.

I see Alex Gilbert scored again for the B team today. He's described a left winger and perhaps will get an opening over the coming weeks.

He's been playing as more of a roaming no.10 in midfield. B team have been playing with 3 at the back recently.

What worries me about Rico playing in front of Thompson is that he will have to receive the ball and turn with it to start a run, forwards, this isnt what he is used to doing
Usually he is up to speed running with the ball from fullback. I hope I am worrying unnecessarily

Did you watch the last game we played three at the back....no thanks.
Before the last couple of games I would have agreed with you.

It gets Forss in the team and our out of form wingers on the bench...

I don't recall if we tried Marcondes as one of the front three, but might be worth a shot, given how freely he was scoring in Denmark ?
