Anyone ordered/received one of the cycling jerseys?
I ordered mine on 18th July.
Royal Mail tracking info indicates "Sender despatching item" on 22nd July as the latest update.......
(Emailed the Club Shop last week to check and have had no reply).

I haven't ordered one personally, but I'm sure I read on Twitter that someone had posted that they had received one.

I got a purple training t-shirt and it came with 5-6 working days. Would go a size up for those considering this.

Had a retro tracky top bought for me for my birthday in June. Needed a smaller size so posted it back (at some expense) requesting alternative size. Also gave them a number to contact me if any problems.
10 weeks later, nothing.

I had written confirmation today that the loyalty points system has been done away with. So if you had unused points, it’s tough, apparently.

I take it the loyalty points were to do with the shop only?

Assuming that included the new kits, won’t be sent out till October, so you may be waiting a while!

BIAS were told in July that there was a plan to discontinue the loyalty points scheme. This was because the TeamCard system that was used at GP was being replaced by a new system at LR.

We told that you would have untill 31st December to spend the points. No Comms seemed to have gone out to this effect though.

Can someone who has points tell me, if they are able to spend and see a balance or if they have just vanished?

Absolutely no reference to existing points when I placed my order two weeks ago so looks like they have got rid of it.

I ordered a home shirt when they started the half-price offer last month. It turned up a few days later. All good.

They’ve vanished. There’s no reference to them or any loyalty points system on the site.

Incredibly frustrating, as I had a lot.

Below is the explanation I received:

I can confirm the loyalty scheme has ended, the reasoning for this is due to Brentford's contract running out with this supplier, we have since been using a new supplier, in which I don't believe has the points access.

I am not 100% sure on if any new schemes will become available once the new stadium is running, however understand that us in the shop are no longer able to add/access or adjust points anymore.

I apologise for this inconvenience, if there will be any further updates on this matter it will be published online

All sounds a bit shoddy. Have been rather unimpressed with this element of the club's operations over the years. I think it can and should do much better.

Well they’ll be getting a lot less spent there now.

Does this affect the loyalty points getting match tickets ?
No they are Ticket Access Points and that's a story for a later date

Nothing should ever be a complete no no, just needs to be done right. Anyway nothing to worry about at the moment.

It is really poor if the club has pulled the points because a contract ended with a supplier. It smacks of the club's problem becoming the supporter's problem. I hope this isn't true and the CEO explains fully and BIAS report back with positive news.

When I placed my order there was no sign of any points. Had I known they were disappearing I’d have bought stuff earlier and used them up also

https://www.brentfordfc.com/fans-an... of Rewards you,Holders will earn ten Rewards.

4. THE SMALL PRINT
Season Ticket Holders and Club Members will only collect Rewards against the cash value of their order. Rewards can only be redeemed from previous purchases. Loyalty Rewards Terms and Conditions apply. All reward points will expire 6 months after the end of the season. So, for example, all points collected up until 30 June 2019 will expire on 31 December 2019.

So we should have another 4 months to use them up....

The shop is another example of us being light years behind other clubs.

No longer my beloved NAM
ha ha. good old club shop. my sister in law is dead posh and has high standards and spends an inordinate amount of money on line and she has had the pleasure of dealing with them to buy my son brentford gear for his birthday (past due now). she has been emailing and phoning and general complaining like she is prone to do until i had to explain to her that Brentford FC club shop is different, no one can hear you scream, no one gives a flying ****. she is simply wasting her time.

I then explained to her that all you have to do to sell any old sh*t to a football fan is put a crest on, its the perfect hustle, doesn't matter how sh*t the product is a badge makes it instantly a present yet we have a range of about 40 items.

She shook her head and sighed and will probably go for premium bonds next year. lol

having said all that, i bought the little bastard the new away shirt and it came well quick

Er hem... the shop only has 39 items, given the sad removal of the famous ‘1819’ key rings

Sorry for some reason it didn’t quote.

Re Guildford Bee’s post - Is this a permanent thing? Keen to get my son a shirt at some point but not sure whether the infant kit will fit or whether he’ll need the smallest junior shirt. He wants a name and number (his own as he still only knows benrahma and he won’t be here long) so keen to try on in store when COVID permits. Apologies if covered in earlier pages.

The club have said there will no longer be a permanent physical club shop. There was some talk a while ago about ‘pop-up’ outlets at Lionel Road but I’m not sure if that is still the intention and obviously wouldn’t happen while stadium is not open to fans. The intention is for sales of merchandise to be online.

Brentford club shop

I’ve got no insight but I’d be astonished if the club sells nothing on match days. I think it’d be insane if visiting fans can’t buy anything at all at the ground, so hope that pop up stalls will be operated, like you get at US baseball stadiums in the concourses. If we don’t sell anything other than online that might make us the only club in the UK (or Europe?) to operate that way :(

I wonder if we’d had a properly, professionally run club shop rather than the totally inept joke, run by people who were proven to lie to the fans (Exhibit A - the 1819 key rings, your Honour) we‘d be in a different place now.

Surely the club can negotiate some sort of instore presence at some local stores - maybe Sports Direct in Hounslow. I mean I can understand them not wanting a high street presence run by them but there must be a willing outlet somewhere that would give them a few square metres of floor space so fans can actually see the merchandise.

They should just give the franchise to Gary of the TW8 Casuals Store. At least he’d stay on top of sellable designs, be a fan, and want to promote the club. There‘s got to be a middle ground between a woefully mismanaged shop and nothing at all.

This is the response I received from club shop regarding my order and points:

"I can confirm the point system has been removed the reasoning for this is due to Brentford’s contract running out, and since then have moved to another supplier.
This company was used with the points system, however since finishing our contract with them, all points access has been removed as we are no longer able to access the loyalty scheme linked with that supplier. We are currently still in talks in regards to what we can do for fans as an alternative to the points, as we understand multiple people had not used all there points, however we have not yet come to a solid conclusion, but will be looking further in to this/ other options for fans.
Once we have a more concrete answer, all information will be emailed or placed on the club’s website, I would advise checking the website for any upcoming news in the future, regarding this, and apologise that we are unable to help more with this query."
