Most (if not all) on-line stores will assume you have changed your mind and have abandoned your shopping after 20-30 minutes of no activity. Otherwise it could never resell the goods in your basket as they are reserved against the store's stock. (N.B. This is any ordinary online shopping system, not this extraordinary implementation of it)

Some sites have the ability to make a "wishlist" that you can move into your basket at some point in the future.

right; wish the club had a wish list function then.

The Bourne Response / Update.

You lot wouldn't believe the events of the last few days with regards to the "case of the GK tops"....suffice to say shambles doesn't sum it up. @Silly Hat would spontaneously combust if he knew the full extent of it all ...

"There will be no more stock so can you post the shorts and socks back and we'll then arrange a refund". Not sure my response is printable here, but it 'worked' as I got an apology and a refund without resolving my initial gripe but not appeasing the two B2B Jnr's who want to mimic David Raya in Sydney. But I thought that as there was no more stock for the season I'd have to accept it. However before long more emails began to arrive, one of which stated "we will be getting more stock in 7-10 days according to Umbro"... left hand, meet the right hand....

One positive thing is that they see to be finally taking personal responsibility and offering a modicum of customer service (I'll wait and see if I actually get two shirts before heaping too much praise).

One other gripe - what can't you leave something in your basket in the online store so when you log back in its there and you don't have to trawl the site again? Or is that "for another day"
Me after reading about your experience…

Absolute shambles.

Visited the club shop on Monday and it was a very underwhelming experience. Not worth the drive if I'm honest. No home shirts, no masks, the things they had in stock were either in size small or size 3xl. They are moving to the new shop in Lionel road mid October. I hope it has a lot more stock.

I bought one of the first replica kits, pre-season, same size as my kit from last season. It's come up small, and I've been a couple of times to change it for a bigger size and they've not had any adult sized kits to do the swap so I still have it. I've been told that they hope to be able to do the swap on the day of the Liverpool game. To save me going down to the club shop and queuing up, if anyone has a new XL home kit they want to exchange for a L, let me know!!

It will, it's a much larger building.
Work is being done inside at the moment.

Out of interest for those who have also experienced items from accepted orders not delivered as they are no longer in stock, how enthusiastic are you finding the provision of refunds?

@Silly Hat - you will not believe the latest. I received an Email a couple of hours ago to say that my complete order was ready for collection from the club shop, can I come in and collect as a mater of urgency. So I expressed my surprise by return email and tried to establish the full situation... a few emails back and forth where upon I was asked to call to shop.

So, I tried to call 4 times but Peter Gilham kept telling me the shop wasn't open today and he kept hanging up on me...

Eventually I got them to call me and to my surprise they did have my complete order picked.... 'no wait, sorry just checked only got one of the GK tops, seems the order was miss picked...'. so let me get this straight ... 'you've picked the order twice, but both times incorrectly??' Ah, 'yeah, sorry. No hold on, just found a second one, will post out to you tomorrow'... So, likely someone else will miss out on that for their child.

So it seems that my online order for overseas posting was picked incorrectly twice or three times, there was the entire order waiting for collection in TW8 whilst I received 90% here... heaven help us as we get busier...

Lets see if the boys finally get their tops, a mere 3 months after order; update to follow...

Stay tuned for the update next year when I try again and hope they get it right.

Thank you. This is beautiful. Impossible to describe fully the absolute ineptness you’ve experienced.

I‘m really useless, but even I could manage to run properly an online ordering system that shouldn’t be more difficult than a basic computer system that tracks what’s in stock and then has people picking and posting what’s been sold online. Just about every shop in every high street runs their secondary business this way now with minimal nonsense - except the Brentford club shop, naturally.

I worked many years ago in a picking and packing environment as a holiday job. There was also a stage in between picking and packing where the objects that had been picked and placed in the packing area were separately checked against the picking list before packing. I would have thought that a checking step would be a standard procedure to minimize mistakes.

(This was in a book warehouse in South Melbourne when it was the home of the Sydney Swans).

Another notch on the Varney Success post. Rubbish club shop, terrible ticketing software and the media team over-staffed and under-performing.

He’s doing well, isn’t he?

Hello All
Do you know if you can buy gift vouchers from the pop up at the stadium?
Don't fancy using the on-line shop after reading the comments on here?

Scaffolding up on the building, had a peak inside and it needs a lot of work. I'd be surprised if it was open before Christmas.

Was told by shop staff on Friday the new shop was opening on the date of the Chelsea game, they didn’t believe it would either

That’s actually a true story. I’m just waiting for the scissors to arrive. Obviously, the club shop first sent me a broken tennis racket and a cat basket, then blamed the Royal Mail and have now asked me to send both items back at my own expense but - hey - I live in hope they can get this one right. Eventually 🤓

Mrs Bish and I have just spent £110 online with the club shop. Please don't let me down as these are gifts.

Please keep us updated with this as with we raised the issue of random refunds for out of stock items with the club yesterday.

Yes an interesting update. The problem was described as that the club have very little space (and many of them - they keep stock on the Big Yellow Storage facility for example) and the problem is actually finding the items rather than not having them.

All this will be resolved with the new place open when all the stock can be kept in one place (upstairs in the new store) and in its own place.

Is the club shop still open on Braemar Road on match days? I thought I read somewhere it was closed.

Had this before with the club shop. Just means Royal Mail have yet to process it. Try again tomorrow and it should be working.

FWIW, I've order quite a bit from the website recently and always had great service. Had an issue with a delivery once but exchanged emails with the club shop account and it was all sorted quickly.

Feedback is that then maybe add a line next to the link to explain timescales to access the link.

Is the new club shop on Lionel Road open from today as we were told?
Walked past on Tuesday and it didn't look anywhere near ready.

For BIAS feedback, link still does not work.
It says page not found on Royal mail website.
So I don't think it is to do with the parcel not in the system yet.

Bee Team membership pack for HB Jnr turned up today. Pencil case, eraser and pencil sharpner bundled in with his lanyard and membership card. Not displeased with that :sorted:

Why is the online shop so badly stocked? Hardly any sizes available and why don’t they offer all the kits in infant sizes? A lot of my friends put their kids in lots of different clubs kits Barcelona, Real Madrid etc, I prefer him in just Brentford but it makes it difficult when he can only have one shirt because the club doesn’t offer away or third kit in infant sizes
