Is the last 1/4 being laid now ?Corporal Crosby checking in. I can confirm blue sky's and sun have arrived at Griffin Park and are set to stay. Thursday morning Andrew Madley and Steve Clarke will be very happy with the pitch. (No moaning from Steve, can't fault the pitch)
Friday the Bees players train with no injuries.
Saturday the game versus Reading FC is ON!

Not yet. Just a load of guys wandering around at the moment. Is the last 1/4 being laid now ?
Kurt must have gone for a tea and creme egg break. Not yet. Just a load of guys wandering around at the moment.
I guess if you could eavesdrop it'd go something like this:Not yet. Just a load of guys wandering around at the moment.
I hope they've all got Hi Vis, Goggles and Hard hats on, and have completed a method statement and have done a full risk assessment! Not yet. Just a load of guys wandering around at the moment.
I guess if you could eavesdrop it'd go something like this:
-"I wouldn't have laid it like that if it was down to me"
-"Should never lay it in weather like this"
-"Won't last five mins. Pile of crap this stuff"
-"Didn't ask us what we'd recommend. Never ask those at the sharp end do they?"
-"You won't believe how much they've paid for this crock of sh*t"
-Must have more money than sense. They've been well & truly done"
Sush, watch out........ "No, it's fine guv. Couldn't be better. This weather's helping. Yeah, real quality stuff this. The best, I reckon. You won't notice those stitching lines come the weekend. All's good".
I'm sure I can hear someone with a flatback truck outside saying he can finish the job off with a nice green Tarmac-----Translate into various eastern european tones and your close....

No they were just realising they ordered too little and there will be a 3 metre gap at the edge like happens when you wallpaper ...Translate into various eastern european tones and your close....
It's a worry, rumour has it there's 1,800 of them turning up Saturday!!I just hope that there's security on tonight or the travellers might roll it up and have it away.
It's a worry, rumour has it there's 1,800 of them turning up Saturday!!
I'm amazed they've ignored it tbh. They can't have realised that the fact we screwed the pitch up in the first place is in the public domain!!!!Any updates?? The club has been so quiet on this.
Very true.I'm amazed they've ignored it tbh. They can't have realised that the fact we screwed the pitch up in the first place is in the public domain!!!!
Why not "try" & put the best possible message out..........."We recognise the difficult situation we've been in but here's our day by day progress on getting the pitch back to its very best..........etc, etc. A fantastic, monumental effort has been in full swing. We'd like to thank the FL, B'ham City, our contractors, my mum & dad who have done so much...................................................................... It seems we'd rather put our heads in the vast amounts of sand that exists within GP & pretend nothing out of the ordinary isn't happening. A marketing department should come into its own at times like this. Then again.........
Id rather they spend time in important issues, not issuing 24/7 rolling updates.I'm amazed they've ignored it tbh. They can't have realised that the fact we screwed the pitch up in the first place is in the public domain!!!!

Thanks for that.I typed Griffin Park into Google Earth and zoomed in, it shows (on my version) the 'drainage improvement works' being carried out pre Motz which may be of interest to some.
And when you zoom in further on google maps (earth) and zoom right in,it shows a lovely green pitch!!I typed Griffin Park into Google Earth and zoomed in, it shows (on my version) the 'drainage improvement works' being carried out pre Motz which may be of interest to some.
Plus a few more. I park my caravan outside the Globe and sell lucky heather inbetween drinking pints of Pride. :beer:It's a worry, rumour has it there's 1,800 of them turning up Saturday!!
fingers crossed, ta.
The nights are drawing in!
Great work, take a bow Son.
Good work Jamie, take a bow and club Marketing and PR guru take note, that's how to keep fans updated!
Luckily we took the decision to upgrade our floodlights, hope the superior lux won't damage the Motz !Still working on it currently under the floodlights. Looks like they are around two metres from the Braemar Road touchline. I'm guessing we insisted on it being down tonight so we could start testing it tomorrow?
Agreed - nice one.Great work, take a bow Son.
