Crikey, they're taking it pretty seriously. It was only a pre-season game. With all the substitutions I don't know how you can draw many conclusions from it regarding either side.

To be fair, most of it seems to be a fairly amusing mutual sl*g off of Fraser Forster!

Did he have to bring it up, I still come out in hives and break into a cold sweat at the thought of Samson strolling around the pitch laughing and joking without a care in the World as he chatted to Leroy Rosenior whose hat trick had sent us down!

They are right though, hugely overrated goalkeeper. I presume a gentleman named redkeith said "The Brentford keeper would not have let in the last goal." Perhaps they are right, though Dan had his fair share of poor goals last season, which by all accounts do not come close to his vast number of important saves and performances. He's solid and dependable up-and-coming goalkeeper and for us that is dangerous especially when a premier league team comes to GP and sees their unchallenged first choice England international concedes a goal like that while Dan does what he does well.

From MK Dons forum:

"Brentford were dirty as usual, foul after foul and had it have been a league game would've had numerous yellow cards. Have to say they are not a club I like and was disappointed to have a pre season game against them."

"A decent effort against a good Brentford team..."

"....the speed at which the 5 Brentford substitutes played....."

In the wrong
They are trying to invent a rivalary.
Might be a bit easier if they chose one of their nearer neighbours who they play more often.

Oops there aren't any

They do seem to have a thing with Peterborough, for some reason.

Could it be because both clubs are run by complete ****heads?
If that was the case they would have a rivalary with more than half e teams in the EFL.

QPR and Fulham both agree that we are lovely neighbours, never a minutes trouble. More than happy to feed the cat while we're away.

That feels like a compliment from some Johnny come lately day patient who supports a plastic club.

I noticed this on the Derby County forum dcfcfans, on their thread about Ollie Watkins:
Definitely missed out here, but I can understand why players would like to go to Brentford and he may have chose them over a lot of other teams.

Their record of improving players and selling them on is great. He will see them as a stepping stone for him to push on and it's one of the best places to do it.

A very articulate person on there with his **** Brentford post.

Must have taken him ages to think of that one.
He stood out like a sore thumb.

Some sensible stuff on that forum. :( :grey:

Not quite what other fans think about us but the Forest fans' 'Hopes and Expectations' thread seems to be summarised by this post:
I'd take finishing the season with the same manager we started off with.

They'd be better off getting a different one.

Seen a tweet from a Dulwich supporter saying we were the best team they've faced pre season.
High praise indeed when you consider their other opponents have been Crawley, Hampton and Richmond and Cray Valley!

Prediction season it seems with just a week to go, still amazes me how many people still pick us to struggle. Clearly not being a big club and not having too many high profile signings obviously makes us an easy target amongst the less educated fan or pundit.
