Was working yesterday and the football was on in the pub, EFL games on the TV whilst Premier League ones were shown on the big screen upstairs. Gradually people wandered down and watched our game instead. !!!! Lots of comments about how good our football was notably a part time QPR supporter who simply said” why can’t Rangers be as good and how the hell do we keep finding players, sell them for massive profits and find better ones for less??” He was very jealous and I just smirked!!!!!

Sounds like someone you should have kicked out of the pub on a trumped up offence.

Is that a fella fighting a bloke, whilst stamping on the blokes wife and kicking out at his kid?

Inbred pr**k needs a proper kicking
Fighting a whole family it seems, cant believe no other bristol city fans were willing to intervene

Leeds fans quite content about their 8 point gap between them and us. Not sure if they realise 3 games ago it was 13. If both keep up their current form, the evening of February 11th could be a very interesting. :bees::bees:

"The punditry and commentators got on my tits with their terrible bias. Brentford did not stroll that. We outplayed them second half and they had their partisan crowd to thank them for getting a poor ref to help them out by making some poor decisions. Thankfully the ref didn't send off Wilmot...much as the crowd bayed for blood. We'll go again, but Brentford were nowhere near as good as the commentary painted them to be. And we were not far off from getting a second goal to give us a deserved draw. 3-1 flattered them. "

We are a big club now lol biased sky commentators and referees favouring us
Perhaps he didn't get there until 4.00.

Would you really expect them to openly say otherwise?

Capitulating a 3.0 lead at home, losing to Fulham who are currently woeful and getting a last minute equaliser against an average promotion chasing Preston, most of my Leeds supporting mates are bracing themselves for the inevitable annual collapse.

Last Sunday was Xmas drinks at Sutton CC.
One of the members (a FFC fan) pulled me up saying he went to Bees v Fulham (first visit to GP for 30 years) and that the ground is really awful.
I advised him of our imminent new stadium and politely said at least our current ground has four sides to it!

You’ve become too considerate and understanding, why engage with him

And that would be very pleasing.

Did you inform him that his team was really awful?

... so we can add to "We've got more grounds than you" with "we've got eight stands, you've only got three"!

Not much of an ffc fan if that’s his first visit to GP in 30 years. Sounds like a typical Putney m1nge.

Leeds fans are really nervous and I can honestly see us being toe to toe with them mid-Feb. However, Leeds fans will say the first half against Cardiff was some of the best football they have seen in years, Fulham got a dubious penalty that never was and Leeds dominated that game and for me Preston are far from average, have a good manager, no superstars but play as a team and the only team that really deserve to beat us this year.

Having said all this - hope they keep on playing well and dropping points. :D

I actually thought it was a penalty for Fulham. Put your hands in the back of the attacker and you run the risk. He did that and gave him a bit of a shove, even if not massively forceful, and with the help of a slip too he went down.

Given the statistical indicators, it is WBA that will be more catchable than Leeds.

Mate at my new job watched our game yesterday. He was mightily impressed with our style of play, thought Ollie wouldn't be out of place in the PL. Hopes we will take advantage of Leeds habitual arsehole dropping.

Preston are an average promotion chasing team was what I said. They are no more or no less than any of the other top 10.

They have some thoughts on Ollie

"He needs his neck, pelvis, and spleen smashed to pieces right from the off.but of course make it look accidental"

They should concentrate more on not throwing away a tw goal lead in the last 10 minutes.

Many Millwall fans seem to have a very skewed vision of what is right and just in the world. And please don't tell me they're 'the salt of the earth'.

Yep it's been a weird run of games. Cardiff we're set and comfortable at 3-0 and even 3-1, then just go to sh*t in the last 10 minutes to draw. Could have got the win at the end, Nketiah shot deflected off White and off the post rather than in.

Fulham 2-1 defeat, lose Hernandez 3 mins in and with Roberts and Shackleton out don't really have anyone to fill in. Penalty never is, but after getting back on terms we should see the game out.

Preston give away a soft goal, then dominate the last 70 minutes and have the chances to win but can only scrape a draw.

Then today - every time we had to get back in front we did so, but at 2-0 we should be seeing the game out from there.

The thing that frustrates me is that we've gone from shipping 10 in the first 21 games to shipping 10 in our last four, and it's the quality of the defence that has kept us where we are.

That said, WBA have had a run of really poor performances including their defeat to Boro and draw with Barnsley, so I'm actually relatively confident going to the Hawthorns, where'd i'd take any result in which we keep a clean sheet.

Lastly, while we do look a bit wobbly there don't look to be the sides capable of taking advantage - Preston, Wednesday and yourselves all losing today, Forest and Fulham scraping undeserved 1-0s they could easily have drawn or lost and generally being inconsistent.

All in all, I think we'll be ok provided the defence can whip itself back into shape in the next few games, and think you guys will either overtake WBA or win the playoffs.

Have been to GP a few times this season so fingers crossed should have booking history for the game in February. That said, I'm already writing it off as three points for the Bees!

....should be an interesting run in this year....your lot...and WBA...are certainly not Wolves....can't see anyone pulling away....squeaky bum time....but I guess that's the norm at Elland Rd these past few years....enjoy your last game at GP in Feb.
