A number have said they view this as the most difficult game left in their run in. If that is the case they must be a good bet for the PO's.

Thought losing Dack was the end of their season. They seem to have thrived without the little sh*tbag.

Everyone's wider than me = fatties

Maybe 'fat little sh*tbag' would have been a better description.
Maybe you should describe yourself as a well proportioned buff man

see leeds fans are getting all excited about a Sun interview with Pontus! Honestly, there's something seriously wrong with that lot!

Is the the only player at Leeds who played in the Champions League while it was filmed in colour?

Good interview, it’s nice to hear some truthful comments from a player and not just say what people want to hear. Honesty, integrity, hard work and leadership skills. Just what we need at Brentford.

Talking of Leeds - It was mentioned on the Barnsley Forum that if they were not needing a win on the last day they might actually prefer defeat if it stops Leeds being promoted.

Fair play to them for recognising that we had a decent turnout yesterday. I still applaud them for holding up the Noad£s out banner on the Ealing Road back in the bad times.

:sorted:
That was the home end then ?

Bit late to this one but not sure if anyone listens to the Not the Top 20 podcast - really decent and they generally like Brentford while being aware of our weaknesses. Last week they did a 'player takeover' pod so not exactly what fans say about us but actual players this time. Both Jed Wallace and Lyle Taylor were very complimentary about us - Wallace saying everyone in the Championship is glad we've got a new ground for next season as they hate having to visit Griffin Park (I think his exact words were 'you just know you're going to lose there'). Lyle Taylor said we were the best team he's played against and has no idea how they won 1-0 in August. They also interviewed Leon Legge later in the podcast but no Brentford reference - just Port Vale and epilepsy but he comes across as a decent bloke unsurprisingly. Tweet advertising the episode is here but you can find it on any podcast app I think.

Was going to mention this exact podcast.

One of the things that Jed Wallace said, as well as expecting to always losing at GP, is that they always fancy getting a result against us when Brentford are away. Not sure whether it is because of the way we set up or the atmosphere really

I thought the banner got 'confiscated' only for it to be held up by Cardiff fans at HT?

Not exactly waht they said, but 30-60 Wdnesday fans who were still queuing to get out of Brook Rd stopped and applauded the Brentford players as they reached the tunnel. Went on for a minute or so.

The comentators for the Wednesday version of the highlights were complimentary.

However I trawled through 26 pages of misery on the Owls forum, and not one mention of the Bees at all, not even a Iknow thery're good but....

I actually went through about 13 pages before giving up, so you are officially twice as much of a loser than me!

We really are blessed with such a well structured forum, a lot of the ones you look at are just a nightmare to navigate through

Just cant get on with their fans.
I think we probably 'like' them because they admired us for carrying on supporting when we knew they'd beaten us. That was when we were 'plucky little Brentford'. Now though, we're 'classy little Brentford'.

Every group i come across seems to have as much class about them as a group of Leeds fans would.

That includes Bees unfortunately. Idiots everywhere in this world, wearing a replica shirt with Red and White stripes doesn't stop this.

They're stuck in the 70s like a lot of the so called 'big' clubs in this division. I got pelters on twitter when I suggested they are a bang average side after they'd luckily beaten us at Hillsborough but that's exactly what they are. They're dreadfully run (sold their stadium), don't seem to have any particular style of football and go through managers like confetti. Still seem to think that they should be wiping the floor with the likes of us. There's a few of them that can understand what we're doing but the majority are like the Forest fans who laugh at our 'xG obsession'....

Beat a team 2-0 and they'll give you lots of praise. Beat them 5-0 and it's all about them. I think it's because in the former case they are actually paying themselves a backhanded compliment by 'excusing' the defeat as being against a quality side. In the latter case the priority for most fans is to get the manager sacked so they tend to exaggerate their own deficiencies more.

Calling them bang average is giving them a compliment.

When we were bossing the game early doors someone did post on Owlstalk that 'Brentford are everything that we're not', which I intepret as an all encompassing comment on the contrast and disparity in the respective football club models.

Sheff Weds fans have always been arrogant.
They're not as big as they once were, can't fill their
stadium and not very good.
