If I'd made the offer and then they went and employed other people I'd be raging
The transfer window isnt open yet so we cant sign anybody now.

If i was a player, who had deffered my wages whilst the lockdown was on and the repayment plan was in place, i would welcome the club strengthen ing the team as it could lead to more win bonuses for me.

Perhaps we could keep the conversation on this thread to "Things other fans say about Brentford FC"?

If Alex Neil's transfer ban suggestion is sufficiently interesting/important, it can have a thread of its own.

Why? What are your reasons?

Brentford have a smaller income than most.

Brentford rely heavily on MB and transfer sales to survive in this division.

Where do you think the income comes from? Trees?

The players themselves, before any other Club announced stuff like deferrals, decided to defer payments. NOT WAGE CUTS. Deferred.

Just because PNE, and some others, haven’t furloughed staff, are they right or is it up to the Club to decide what is right for them? To survive.

Furloughed staff are paid. Will Brentford pay the other 20%? Who knows?

Think of all the businesses that have furloughed staff owned by multi multi millionaires, are they wrong too? Should those companies be looked upon differently?
It should also be noted that PNE have actually furloughed some staff which makes Neil's comments even more ridiculous. If you furlough one or 50 the principle is still the same in my opinion.

I was watching Sky Sports Presenters Championship Team Of The Season (so far) .. very good things were said about the BMW and Andy Hinchcliffe really wants to see us promoted to the Prem and we were tipped to win the play offs .. B&W made the team and Watkins was awarded Championship player of the season

From Friends of Fulham:

"We don’t get much luck against Brentford these days but needed one of those earlier chances to go in. I think we all felt fitness was going to tell as Brentford rather obviously seem to have prepared better with 2 proper friendlies"

"Bloody play offs and a huge fear of getting Brentford at Wembley"

"They're a good side and might just catch the top 2"

"Brentford are the fitter team and it has showed unfortunately, we have played worse and won."

"Brentford have played us to a t and the game plan for them was an excellent one."

"Beaten by a better team tbh"

They are soooooooooo nice!!!! rofl

Parker simply can’t get an offensive pattern going that gets the best of the array of offensive talent we have.
Same disconnected 3 at the front of his sterile 433.
He isn’t learning.
We we ok for 55 mins but they are a better coached side with a manager who can change a game.
I expected roughly what we saw.

A word of warning truly awful website.

Let's face it take away the 6 points they have taken from us and they haven't dine that well against the rest of the Championship. Their problem is their Cup Finals are now over. They remind me of Scotland in the 60s and 70s the only games that mattered for them were against England. All Brentfords ambition is to beat Fulham.

Was you watching the same game as me, Brentford weren’t even in it we hit the post goal disallowed their keeper made a couple of decent saves but we didn’t score, daylight robbery maybe before Brentford goals they were hanging on for a point long way to go. Also not beaten Brentford at home since 1990

rofl

Finally a sensible post

I hate to admit it but Brentford looked different class to us today, and fully deserved their win, which should now finish any outside hope that we would be involved in any automatic top spots, so now we have concentrate on retaing a play off spot, and hopefully another final at Wembley, and let's hope we meet Brentford there and gain some revenge for todays poor showing.

Oh, I did. Blimey, we can be negative at times, but they seem hardly convinced that they're going to even make the play-offs. This bloke must be a Bees plant:

'What I'm struggling to understand is they have a playing philosophy similar to ours, play 433 exactly like ours and used statistically focused recruitment similar to ours. And somehow they do all 3 at a higher level on a fraction of the budget?'

Had 2 phone calls yesterday, one from a Spurs fanatic and has taken the pee for years what a great TEAM you have got there not like spurs
and also unlike Spurs you like to attack.

The other an Arsenal fan who wants to end the season and recruit Thomas for developing a team that wants to play but enjoys playing and
working together

If we haven't done that well how come we are a point behind them and have a vastly superior goal difference?

Perhaps they'd like to concentrate on getting back in the game against Cardiff first :).

Awful word soup from someone who thinks they’re about three times as witty and literate than the reality.
Far too much repetition and alliteration for a true wordsmith. I can't take seriously anyone who uses the "word" "get-go", and I've no idea how he might justify his notion that Tom Cairney can "shift through the gears", when he clearly only has the one. He's no Clive Wittingham, this bloke, is he?

Doesn't seem to be a fan of Lionel Road.

One thing he missed out though when talking about Mitrovic was the fact he seemed to have found his way out of PJs pocket eventually
Seemed to get out of it fairly regularly but then that’s not a huge surprise given how long Pontus has been out. He and Pinnock had a tough job and mostly did it well but a sharper striker would have put one or two of those away.. sure we’ll be working on that though..

A reasonable assessment, I thought. Apart from “Josh Dasilva scanned for gullies to expedition” which I need some help with. Did he mean goolies? Anything to do with the “baller”, Harrison Reed? As loquacious as a silver star sixth form cabinet member. And I hope Harrison Reed is fit for Leeds. He’ll not keep it up when we go into three games a week.
