Has anyone ever cared what Nottingham Forest fans have to say?

If it wasn't for Cloughie no one would have ever heard of them, and he resigned the best part of 30 year ago.

He would despise the way they play the game now.

Forest fans are a bit weird...they're not getting autos and seem to be very...tetchy about underlying stats. They're doing very well this season, for once, but aren't showing much humility about it.

More from the Reading forum:

"Well many of us were worried that Brentford had too much for us,and all our fears came through.TBF to Reading we are very rarely totally outclassed, even against the likes of Dirty Leeds and WBA,but this evening we not only got our pants taken down, but Brentford ran off with our shoes, socks and Crown Jewels at the same time. We started brightly enough but Brentford were just putting out feelers to see what we had. As soon as they realised that this was going to be a very easy game for them, they just applied enough pressure to crack us wide open;without overextending themselves for bigger games to come.Clearly tonight highlighted what a technically advanced coach can achieve,by intensely drilling his players as to what is required. When you have the ball, pass and move into space, when you don’t have the ball, compress and get into the agreed shape"

Who gives a **** what Forest fans think. If they are such a huge club then why were they singing they had their Forest back when beating us a few years ago.

Deluded idiots.

NFFC talking who they want in play offs:

"Brentford for me. Their style is perfect for us to counter.
West Brom might have lost momentum, but their sheer talent depth still scares me."

Here are some more quotes from

https://hobnob.royals.org/forum/index.php

They’ve come off wins against Fulham and WBA and completely owned this game

They are clearly a quality side. We certainly made it easy for them though

Just been outclassed today by a very good side tbh

Can’t help but be jealous of what Brentford have built

Brentford are class.. The earlier poster who said they are nothing special clearly needs new specs.

Brentford are every inch a premier league side, but that was pitiful from us.

I like this quote from a Reading fan -

"If I’d been one of those cardboard cutout fans at the match, I would have left".

Lump on Wigan. It feels like we always lose when we’re featured on there. #undertheradar #itsbrentfordinnit

Usual superficial patronising bbc crap. TF came across well as always. Wonder what word he'll choose if we go up?

Best comment I've seen on an opponents forum today ...
Midway through the second half:

"Jesus, Brentford are so slick do they mow their pitch or oil it"?!

Read the whole link. On the whole, they are very complimentary about what a good team we are.
Indeed. And BFC would appeal that red card too if it was us - likely to get downgraded to a yellow I would think. It was only one twit that thought no contact was made. Personally, I would like them to get out of the mire and see Brum go down, which I didn't think was possible a week or so ago!

These fellas look like they have 2 extra men on the pitch. They somehow seem to attack and defend with such numbers.

We are being beaten by a vastly superior team

We were just beaten by an absolutely excellent team. They're the best team in the Championship by a mile from what I've seen. It's no fluke they're where they are... In fact I'd say it's probably more of a fluke that they're not in the top two, because everything they do, they do brilliantly.

Brentford are a fantastic side who look every part a Premier League team in the making.

Can’t complain about the result. We were well beaten by the best footballing side in the Championship.

....its funny....and west wilts said it earlier.....it really would be a travesty if we dont go up this year.......actually it wold be a crime to football and those who love the game....so surely......either by WBA or leeds bottling it.....or by doing it the long route.......we will grace the top table next season......it would be so wrong if the anti football faction stole our place.

"Not going to criticize the players (or even the manager) today. Even putting the week's off the pitch events aside, I actually thought we played reasonably well. We were just beaten by an absolutely excellent team. They're the best team in the Championship by a mile from what I've seen. It's no fluke they're where they are... In fact I'd say it's probably more of a fluke that they're not in the top two, because everything they do, they do brilliantly.

It's the worst opposition we could've had today in the circumstances. A win would've been massive, but it's no reflection on the players or manager that we were beaten, so they need to forget today and focus on Wednesday.

On a separate note, kudos to every fan who put in whatever they could for the crowdfunding. Doesn't matter how much or how little it is, because we all have different budgets; any fan putting their hands in their own pockets to save the club is fantastic. It highlights even more what a fantastic spirit there is around the whole Latics family."

all the best to wigan, i hope they manage to uncover how excactly theyve been screwed over and come out the other side

More magnanimous comments from Forest fans after yesterday:

"I*just don't want to see Brentford go up
Another ****ing sh*t small club who get London money in the Premier League?
No thanks"

"They won't get 2nd. West Brom have a piss easy run in besides a game against Fulham and I expect it'll be pretty comfortable in the end.
How they will fare over 2 legs against a side like Cardiff or Millwall is anyone's guess."

We've really got under their skin haven't we??!! lol rofl
What does "London money" mean btw??

They might be saying stuff like that ... but I bet they are thinking 5 wins on the spin .. conceded no goals , best 3 forwards in the championship, play beautiful attacking football, incredible scouting system, Benrahma is worth more than our whole squad and decent owner who sticks by their head coaches through thick and thin and I really don’t fancy meeting them in the play offs .. I wish we were like Brentford

I've just deleted 36 completely off-topic posts. If you want to talk about Nottingham Forest, please find or start a suitable thread. This is for discussing what other club's fans say about Brentford FC.

I find it slightly amusing that there's a lot of fans (and certainly the media) that seem to really like how the club is run and how we play our football (e.g. Wigan, Bristol City) and then there are Forest fans:scratch: Probably best summed up by that clown who jumped in the canal on Saturday to celebrate another deadly boring win, ignorant of Derby's late equaliser rofl

Exactly my thinking Cap'n!!!
Every team (including us) has a minority of idiot supporters who will abuse and belittle other club's, even when there's no logic to it, but the vast majority can appreciate what is going on outside the realms of their own. (You rightly quote Wigan and B City as recent examples, and I'd add Reading, WBA and even Fulham to that list since the resumption too).
With Forest it seems completely the other way round!!! In fact I don't recall seeing one bit of positivity/appreciation of how we (have to) operate under our restrictions in terms of finance/fan base etc from any of their lot!!!

They are thicker than most in that region, not all. But they do have their fair share of clowns . Ignorance i think most would call it.

From the West Brom forum:

I watched their game tonight, possession 70/30 and 29 shots. Completely dominant. Although they needed a dodgy penalty to get back into it after Charlton defended valiantly. Overall they are very impressive, as galling as that is to admit. Full of pace, technical ability, brains and energy. That Benrahama is ridiculously good, their left back Rico Henry is something else and Dasilva is another quality powerhouse. The way they knock the ball about and open teams up they look unstoppable. Their keeper is better than ours and Pinnock / Jansson at the back are rock solid.
Four games left for them - I don't see Brentford getting less than 10 points and possibly 12. That leads us needing a minimum 9 points and probably 11.

My response at full time
"You've embarrassed yourself there mate".

And they say other fans are obsessed with Leeds...

I thought Charlton were gonna do as a favour tonight but alas brentford were too good for them. What a cruel world we live in when our best chance of promotion is actually to help Brentford get promoted in an automatic spot so that we don’t have to play them in the play offs

I like

Whitestone said:
I’d much rather play Brentford. Not to be feared and it’d be just perfect stopping them from getting to the Prem.
fulhamben said:
not to feared? They’ve done us twice this season and should have won by 5 or 6 at their ground
