No offence, but I think you are being biased.

Nearly every team has at least one top player who would have a valid claim, so for BFC to get four is mightily impressive (imo).

As for the four they've chosen, agree completely with 3 of them, but still not convinced by Raya. Don't get me wrong, he's a very good gk who has improved our team and at 24 is only going to get better, likely much better.

But he is prone to the occasional mistake - I like my gk's to be ultra-consistent and I'm not sure there isn't one out there who is less error-prone. Samba at Forest? He's impressed me in what I've seen of him (incl GP) and gets a lot of praise generally.

Though I might include Ethan, to keep the BFC compliment up to four.

One quick google search and hey presto, 2 cock ups in one game.
One led to a goal and the other luckily went wide.

You won’t find a better all round keeper than Raya in our division.

Dillon Phillips of Charlton has the highest stat rating. I'd guess that's because there's no defence in from of him and he makes loads of saves from all over the place. Raya is top of shots inside the penalty area, though.

Maybe you are right me being bias but I just can't see anyone better in the Championship than Ethan and Christian in there positions, I also don't agree with you about Raya, I think he has been excellent this season and being young he will only get better like you said, I'm afraid if Raya was ultra consistent and didn't make one or two mistake's he wouldn't be playing for Brentford, I have no doubt he will one day be playing in the Premiership, hopefully with us, Samba I cant see playing any higher than the Championship. Just my personal opinion

Wider football people have only started seeing the value of Pinnock in the last couple of months I'd say, before that he sorta went under the radar, especially with Pontus there.

We don't want him to get too much attention anyhow, we'd like him next season also ;)

Evening guys, I meant everything I said on Friday night and while the league doesn't lie I could not imagine one point from our last 2 games would be enough while your boys were on an 8 game winning streak.

I do hope you win the play-offs as you've CLEARLY been the next best side in the division. My fear is based entirely on a short video clip of a distraught Benrahma and the fact that Swansea will be on a massive high.

Hopefully we can all agree Forest missing out is hilarious. Where's Matty Cash? 😂

He'll be gone for muchi cash... It's one of those where we're in the position where we need to pick ourselves up, and Swansea will be on a massive high. We have time to do it and hopefully some composure and time to group can see it through. We know we have the quality, the question is on fitness levels and mentality.

If we went up I wanted WBA to be the ones to go up via the playoffs...hopefully it can be that outcome but in reverse order!

Just hope we do it now to prove them all wrong
uck 'em. I just hope we do it now as I genuinely think Matthew, Ras, Phil, Thomas and all the team deserve it - and to make me feel incredibly happy of course!!

I'm staying off social media for some time can't stand reading the "Brentford bottled it" comments and posts. Hurts to read it all.
I'm very bored of the whole Leeds thing. They are the most ridiculously over-sensitive and precious bunch of supporters I have ever seen. They seem to believe that Thomas and the club have been waging some kind of psychological propaganda war against them through interviews and social media. It's totally bonkers.. I do wish our lot would just leave it be, we've got more important things to deal with.

As I said earlier, and not wanting to sound school boyish.

They started it.

Liam Cooper referred to GP as having the worst dressing rooms in the Championship, I think TF was referencing this when he made his comment.

I've seen all this stuff about Thomas, Pontus, the club waging war on them lol

They are complete knobs. Proper paranoid bunch. They are completely off their rockers and truly believe the world is against them.

I feel that we have become representative of their perceived ‘unjust’ humiliation over the past 16 years. They feel robbed of their rightful place amongst the elite and have had to suffer the humiliation of having to not only play grubby little clubs but actually lose to them. Last season was a perfect example, they came to GP desperate for points and got a good spanking. Now they are ‘where they belong’ let’s see how it goes for them. In life you meet individuals with class and dignity and you meet people angrily unfulfilled. I know which ones are running our club and I know the type of person who plays for and follows theirs.

I'm often asked why I dislike Leeds fans so much, I have posted regularly on things that have happened. However on Tuesday the biscuit was well and truly taken. I coach a group of athletes and after the session I put on a Bees top. One of the group saw me and she said in front of everybody that I deserve to be punched in the face for wearing it. Guess who's been dropped from the group?
Foul scummy lot who I hope get to see their European Champions spanked every match next season.

"Feel free to have a go, but expect the same back" would have been my reply, regardless of what sex they were.

My silent response was worth it, somebody else has asked, on her behalf, why she's been taken off the group. No doubt if I responded I'd be told it was just banter, well she can banter with somebody else.

Threats of violence aren't 'banter', no matter how serious they were or not. You don't make that joke unless your mind is in a certain place.

Completely agree. Any of our fans having a swipe at Leeds on Twitter now just look ridiculous in my opinion. They won the league by 10 points. They got more points in the 9 games after lockdown than we did. Let them go. Stop biting. Move on.

Was about to post something similar so no point now! But isn't nice we're upsetting the the likes of Leeds and WBA! Rather than Orient and Wycombe. Oh hold on a minute.......

Is this aimed at me? I hope so.

I have honestly found Leeds fans to be the most unpleasant bunch of supporters I have ever had the displeasure to come across. They are complete cants. In any case it is good that they now recognise that their true rival is now a bus stop in west london rather than Bayern Munich.

The problem with Leeds is their local media sensationalise press conferences and stories. Then there is the siege mentality that is created from people reveling in a fallen giant with hurt pride just means they take everything personally and hate everyone.

When they do well, they then look for retribution for the jibes they've received previously - and buy into the local rag's narrative. I cringe when I see anyone rise to it, it feeds this moronic beast.

For me, i think it's so important how you act at your very low and very high points. You as fan can choose that, unlike the results.

Leeds are enjoying their moment, but they're also feeding their own beast, which - as is the cyclical nature of football - will one day go hungry and eat itself.

Personally, I would love for them to go down next season.

In today's Times David Connolly (of Talksport) says he thinks that Swansea will sneak through to Wembley. Personally, I'm happy going back to being unfancied.

If I were an outsider, I would probably see them sneaking into the Premier League, à la Blackpool.

Leeds are a matter of complete indifference to me. Indeed, I couldn’t really care less about who goes up and who goes down, apart from us. I suspect this puts me in the minority.

Yep. Like the people who want to post indignantly about Stuart Dallas, saying he doesn't matter to them!

No one in the press or that I have spoken to fancies us against Swansea, let alone winning at Wembley. That's how I like it. I have been a bit uncomfortable with loads knowing about us. As Kipling might have counselled Leeds fans:
"If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same..."

There's some stuff in it for Bees fans, too, esp the first two lines:
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

It's 20 plus years ago now, but I had a mate who lived up there as a student and stayed for a bit afterwards. He was walking along a quiet residential street in an Arsenal top one day and someone ran over from the other side of the street and physically attacked him. Broad daylight etc, my mate had said nothing in the lead up n all.

1972. Stupidly walked into Trafalgar Square wearing my Brentford scarf on FA Cup morning Arsenal v Leeds. I know how a fox feels being chased by a pack of hounds. Rescued by a copper in a Panda Car.

This is what it's been like for 30 years nearly, no actual physical harm yet though. Even when we weren't a threat to them the Leeds fans were still making threats and belittling the club. I really hate Leeds fans, I don't talk football with even the nice seeming ones.

The pundits on The Totally Football League Show podcast (worth a listen https://www.thetotallyfootballshow.com/shows/totally-football-league-show-efl-podcast/ ), Sam Parkin and Adrian Clarke, both tip Bees to beat Swansea.
