Someone on the Bolton forum has us sussed...

"I swear 80% of Brentford fans are OAPs"
We may be “ OAP’s” ) but perhaps that’s why we can appreciate decent football instead of the one dimensional turgid style that the Bolton fans seemingly appreciate!!!!

Rather than bring a kid for X it needs to be bring a grandchild for X. Not sure how it could be proved for ticketing!

I have got 2 levels of succession
But if 80% is current figure it's suggests not many have the next level let alone 2 successions.
coming to the game Saturday there were maybe 50 kids playing around by Sainsbury's on their bikes and local. They need to be targeted as local fans from local estates. Not sure they are though. Plenty of youth live nearby yet don't go to a game on their doorstep. Maybe marketing department need to knock a few doors close by.

Maybe 60 years of lower league mediocrity put off some of the current adults from getting on board in the past....give it a few more years the young will become more prevalent as we carry on being successful!

When I was a kid we could get in at half time for free. Great way to build a fan base.

I remember turning up at 9.15 straight from work a good few years ago now and they wanted to charge me full price, so I went straight home.

One decent comment from hobnob.royals:

"Brentford fully deserved that. They were quick, incisive and skilful and should have been out of sight at one stage."

However most posts are whingeing about their poor side or saying that Stam should go.

From the Norwich forum: Brentford are flying right now. If it wasn't for their poor start they'd be top two. Romaine Sawyers and Ryan Woods (both signed from lower leagues) are the two outstanding performers in midfield, and Lassa Vibe is exactly the type of striker we crave. Very tough ask to get out of this one with anything. A club very much on the up.

Tbh that poor start was more in terms of results than performance - they were playing well but not getting the breaks earlier in the season, for instance they gave Ipswich the runaround at Poorman Rd only to lose 2-0. They could easily be in the top 6 or top 2 and I think most neutrals would be happy to see them get a crack at the PL ahead of Leeds, Villa et al.

It might be the mods don't like it, but it would help to have links to the opposition forums where these comments are posted.

..............fair play to the Sunderland fans we spoke to............all ever so complimentary about our style of play and running of the club.............no angry voices ,just a resignation that their club and players are rotten to the core.............

We are. But only twice as good as them.
