I had to miss todays game against West Ham as I was visiting our sister clubs, who by the way wish us good luck this season.

I have two good friends who are Forest fans and both are very complimentary about us, wanted us to go up, hope we do well this season and wish their club was run even half as well as ours.

In short, yes.
But at the same time, there's plenty of articles within Sky and the BBC promoting the work we do - boardroom level, within the community, etc.

I think during the coverage of the first few televised games, where "the masses" will see us not kneeling, it should be mentioned. And any "reporter" mentioning it post match should be challenged to be more informed & not bring it up.. But as we know with "news", "clicks" are the most important metrics.

But I fear if we leave it unchallenged too long, anything announced in the future will be labelled "reactive" / "due to the backlash"

The comments about horrible lot and toilet bowl stadium are about Spurs, who they're playing this weekend on Sunday in a pre season friendly.

Four Four Two has us 17th though. Interestingly the Guardian piece has a disclaimer that the prediction is from their whole team not the, obviously well informed writer of the piece. As you’d expect, the people who don’t know much about us go the easy way to put us bottom three- smallest club, first time up since 1947 etc- but everyone who knows more about us can see we have a better chance.

Was in the East End at the weekend and the chef in the hotel asked if I'd been to the game, I had a Brentford shirt on. When I said no he told me that he's a Hammers fan and had to work so missed it himself. He'd wanted to go because "I'd like to see the new ground and I love the way you play". He's a big fan of Said and has been disappointed at how little he was used last season. Word is that he's expected to make more of a contribution this year.

I don't. So many prem fans are away with the fairies altogether when it comes to disillusion but arsenal are a proper nob end fan base who take it to another level. Special kind.

In yesterday's Observer, they had the usual "fan from each of the Prem League clubs tells us their thoughts on how their team will do in the season ahead" round ups. Each also predicted who would be top four and bottom three and who would be the first manager to be sacked. I was amused to see the Leeds fan had Thomas Frank down as the first manager to be sacked (the only one to say this) but he neglected to follow that up by predicting we would go down. It's really funny how wound up some Leeds fans still seem to be about us.

I read those too. Only the Villa fan had us in the bottom 3 which was a pleasant surprise! To be fair to the Leeds fan, I think he was just having a laugh with the Thomas Frank comment, based on Thomas being a bit of a pantomime villain to Leeds fans.
