Do Arsenal have any threads along the lines of "Things other team's fans say about Arsenal"? In case they do may I casually mention that a lot of Arsenal fans come over as a self-entitled delusional bunch of charmless w***ers who support a club that has all the history but no credibility. I can think of a host of clubs outside the EPL who have more class than they ever will.

do they have history? When I was at school they were an FA cup team, they won 2 titles under wenger but then settled into mediocrity for 10-15 years under him and have trailed off since he left.

What History, Man unt, city, Chelsea and Liverpool have pissed all over them for 20 years.

The Arsenal jokes were incredible during/after the match. Particularly on Reddit. Interlopers were having a terrific time. One of my favorites: "yeah, on paper, arsenal technically lost, but the real loser of this match was also arsenal."

I'm a Michigan Football fan, and it reminds me so much of our current struggles. Semi-recent glory has evolved into middling finishes; surpassed by rivals; images of fans standing and silently judging their team; obsession over firing their coach(es); nonpartisans amused by their defeats.
Think the Bees are Indiana. Simply not even in the conversation for about 75 years.
Michigan…they’re Arsenal. Sorry.

They did manage to win the double in 71. A rare thing before Fergusons Man Utd. I was also very grateful and happy for them to end Liverpool domination of football. I supported any team against the Liverpool from 73 and any team against Fergie Utd. Dont like teams constantly winning that aren't us.

And these were one of the clubs that still consider themselves to be one of the big six, and wanted to be part of the European super league, yeah right!

We are now in the big time. David Squires’s Guardian cartoon of the football week is largely about us, including both a great bus stop joke and that kid’s EExciting BEES acrostic poster.

Most of the Palace fans have us down in their 3 to be relegated this season.
They seem to know nothing about our set up, which is good.
Another surprise to be served up on Saturday, hopefully.
Most fans of other Prem teams have Palace in their three to be relegated.

On topic post..................... Bit weird but there you go..................

Quite good, I thought, apart from not knowing that Dasilva is unlikely to feature for some time and that bloke calling Ivan “Eevan”.

PGA Tour golfer and avid Sheffield United fan Matthew Fitzpatrick has tweeted he wishes his club was run like Brentford.

And his mate never having heard of Toney but acting like it is really important news to him. Also no mention of Norgaard in the middle.

Went on the forest green forum to see what they had to say before tomorrow. Plenty of surprises on there, they called our ticketing system efficient. Also a fulham fan had ventured on there to try and let them know what horrible bastards we are.

I don’t recall anyone singing a song about Fox and if anyone does if we play them again, have a word with yourself.

What absolute drivel.

They have actually gone out of their way to go on a Forum of a club with no connection to them and spout that cobblers.

Well we’ve all said our ticketing system is more befitting of our lower league days than a premier league club and they are a traditionally non league club currently operating in league two so our system and ticketing processes are probably about par (or just above) for the course at the level a league two club would expect.

Out of interest, were you at the game? The game when Matthew Fox and his thugs attacked a load of kids and women in the New Road on a Tuesday night at a Freight Rover tie?

The fella is clearly a fool.

- ‘Flats on the cottage’ was no worse or more inflammatory a song than many that are sung up and down the country every week. No different to ‘never play you again’ in my mind.

- By Matthew Fox sung regularly for years does he mean back 20 years ago and by a very small number of people. They’ve been sung more recently but never by more than 5-10 people and never at a match, hardly representative of the ‘classy ness’ or anything else of a club or its fan base.

- The ‘violence’ in Fulham, again a handful of people causing minor disorder nearly a decade ago is hardly an example of a fan base marred in violence and hate.

Very bizarre that he’s felt the need to make the effort to seek out that forum and article link and write his post, which, aswell as being completely non representational, has very little relevance or meaningful comparison on what the match day experience of a league two team (we’ve never played before let alone had a rivalry with) coming to a midweek 2nd round league cup game will be.

Don't forget that they were only the second club to win a hattrick of titles (I think) after Huddersfield. To be honest, I'd say that they were one of the few teams entitled to be proud of their history.

I wasn't and he was obviously a nasty piece of work, but nevertheless nobody deserves to die at a match and celebrating his death is for me not really on. Sorry to be a snowflake on this.

I totally agree with a slight slant, he was well known for attacking innocents and I’m pleased none of them landed awkwardly and died, not wishing him dead obviously but I think he was out of control and more likely than most to really hurt others.

Can we also have a thread called

Things Brentford FC Fans say about other teams

Because on twitter and facebook, some of our lot spout some right old cringeworthy cobblers. That rmbfc handle that seems to turn up all the time was rambling on at QPR fans last week. And frankly some of the comments about the trip to Palace at the weekend seem to suggest that some of our fans have forgotten where we've come from

Would it be too cringeworthy / inflammatory to have a "best and worst of BFC twitter/facebook"? if not sounds like a great idea.

You may be pleased to know rmbfc got banned from Twitter for of all things copyright infringement but rides again under a new very similar alias. you won't need to find him he'll be on your timeline soon enough. It looks like his ban was just under a month ago and he already has 2,400 tweets on his new handle.

I'd rather not bring Twitter / Facebook madness onto here tbh. People can join the platforms if they're interested.

Unfortunately I was going through a bit of a dry spell when I lived there so not as often as I’d have liked!

He's an angst-ridden 16-year-old so he has no memory of the bad old days to forget.
